If you’re looking for the ultimate family beach vacation on beautiful Hilton Head Island, Island Club 5301 is the place to stay. Separated from the main living area by a handy breakfast bar, Island Club 5301’s complete galley kitchen is furnished with all the major appliances and many of the smaller ones, including a microwave, toaster, and blender. Providing you can stay awake to enjoy them (you might not – the king-size bed is that comfortable!), Island Club 5301’s primary bedroom offers lots of luxurious little touches, from dual nightstands with reading lamps to a flat-screen TV to private balcony access. This condo is very spacious and extremely clean. It was stocked with lots of kitchen supplies. Its location to the beach is amazing. It also had boogie boards and a beach umbrella and chairs. Great views from the balcony. The owners were very easy to contact and communication was always very prompt. Only thing I would advise is if you are used to sleeping with blackout shades or darker room, bring them bc the sun shines through very bright and early. Also, the pools are a bit small when given how large the actual complex is in comparison. Luckily we enjoyed many days at the beach, if you are more of a pool family just something to keep in mind. Our stay was amazing and we would definitely stay again if we decide to come back to Hilton Head.

Tremendously disappointing.

Carpets were very dirty, with numerous large dark stains. Large stain on both ceiling and air intake vent. Toilets and bathroom sinks worked poorly. Linoleum tiles in hallway popping up. Air conditioning not working in one bedroom. Hole in wall of living room. Very poorly maintained. If spouses or children were involved I would have immediately demanded a full refund or transfer to a different rental. This is the worst accommodation I have had in over 40 years of extensive business travel and vacationing. Spoke with management firm. First response was “the owner is renovating the unit next year”. That obviously did nothing to help my group. After a couple calls the management firm offered only a minimal invoice discount for the week. Given the status of the condo a discount in the 50% range would have been more appropriate. This condo should not be on the market in its present state. I have followed up with another detailed email to the management company regarding the poor status of the condo since I have returned home.

Remodel needed

Everything is great about the Island Club. We have stayed there 10 times in various units over the past 20 years. This is the first time that I have been disappointed in the unit that we stayed in - only because the kitchen and bathrooms are overdue for a remodel.

Annual trip

We stay at the island club every year and have stayed at this property the last two years. We love it, the kids always enjoy their stay and the beach view is great as always. Last year the pool was down for the majority of our stay but luckily that wasn’t an issue this time. I’ve been enjoying the island club with my family since I was a child and it’s nice to carry on that tradition with my kids now. The condo was clean, most cooking utensils were provided, plenty of space with 3 bedrooms, easy access to pool, beach and courts. No complaints, we enjoyed our stay as we do every year. Hope to be there again next year as well.

Not as advertised

We were pretty disappointed in the condition of the property. Multiple stains, a broken chair, filthy vents and a terrible smell when we turned on a the air conditioning greeted us. We called management and they were responsive, however no follow up or solution occurred. While we have young children and don’t need an entirely up to date space, it would have been nice to feel like we could walk around the floors without shoes on.
