Located in downtown Niagara Falls close to the Falls, the Casino and the 3rd Street Entertainment District. A quick walk to all. House is spacious with plenty of room to spread out. It is a 3-story side by side duplex and you will have one side to yourselves. The house is over 100 years old and was abandoned for decades. We have spent the last 4 years bringing it back to life to share with you. We are permitted and meet all health and safety standards required by the City.
Downtown Niagara Falls New York has seen better days but is on the rebound. This is an urban environment in a rust belt city with a diverse racial and socioeconomic population. While many of the big old houses in the area are lovely and well maintained, there are others that are neglected or empty. It is an area that is slowly being brought back to life with new people and energy. One should not expect a resort like atmosphere within the city.

We were in town for 2 nights to see the falls. Carroll was very easy to communicate with. If you appreciate old houses, this one is for you. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for the 5 of us. This house is very nice and well taken care of but as reading in the description the neighborhood is not. It is almost deserted, we barely saw other people on the street so it was very quiet. Very short distance to the falls and Canada. The location is great, and hopefully the neighborhood will follow suit on fixing up these old beautiful homes.
The location was great for walking to the Falls. It was very easy to communicate with the landlord. I would recommend this place to friends going to Niagara Falls.
We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again. Everything was as listed and the neighborhood is as other reviews have stated - a little sketchy! Only suggestion I have is an extermination of the front porch and back porch for spiders.
we loved the charm of this house. Some of the original architectural details are still intact! The location in relation to the Falls was just perfect. Not so close that you get bus and car traffic, but a quick walk along sidewalks and parks to get to the main area. The host was helpful with our questions. The best Indian food and pizza are literally a block away. Thanks so much for the great stay.
The house was well equipped and provided the perfect location to walk to the falls, park and into Canada. Off street parking is a plus. The house is very well maintained and it has a certain uniqueness and quirkiness due to its age. Owners communicated quickly and shared good information in their welcome book. We were not surprised at the area/neighborhood since it is described accurately in the booking description. This is not a ‘resort’ area but a busy and slightly rundown neighborhood with lots of potential for revitalization. We would rent again. Thank you!
The house is spacious and basically has 4 bedrooms. It had all the amenities we needed. AC was window units but they worked well. No AC in bathrooms. The house is very old and feels old, but clean and well kept. The neighborhood isn’t the best, but it’s a quick walk to the tourist areas. There was some late night music coming from a nearby property one night. There was also a heavy pot smell wafting in each evening. Overall, it was fine for what we needed. It’s not the owners fault, but the neighborhood just leaves something to be desired.
The Red Brick Inn is charming and quaint, like an antique quilt. It is unlike any place I’ve stayed in so far and I’m glad to support the owners in helping to revitalize the Niagara Falls area. My only feedback is the 3rd floor bedrooms definitely need a bath or the ground floor 1/2 bath should get a sofa bed. Otherwise a quiet and convenient place to rest for your Niagara Falls tour.
The property was great, as advertised and gave us room to spread out: readers on ground floor, noisy baseball fans in 3rd floor TV room. It was located close to everything we came to see. The neighborhood isn’t great, but we don’t go out much at night. We liked supporting the urban revitalization efforts represented by this listing! The renovation was well done. Motion sensor lights on stairs and keyless entry was great. Bed was like sleeping on a cloud; very clean. We could easily have had more people to stay.
The property was nice and comfortable, the host was responsive. NY Niagara Falls is like a ghost town... everything closes early. Aside from it we enjoyed our stay in the property, comfy we had everything we needed.
The house was unique and very clean. Loved that the owners kept as much of the original cabinets as they could. They do adequately describe the property location but I still was not quite prepared for Niagra residence areas. It was close to the falls and easy to get around.
The house is old but expertly and beautifully refurbished. The old cabinetry and flooring gave the house charm. The newly finished bathrooms and lighting were beautiful. Everyone had their own space, which was appreciated.
The owners were extremely responsive to the few questions we had and were happy to help us in any way we needed.
Of note, we observed there were empty houses and buildings in the city of Niagara Falls, NY, including the street this house is on. However, the house is very close to the touristy part of the city (2 walking blocks). We felt comfortable walking from the house during the daylight hours. In the evening, we drove the car. We felt safe driving back to the house at night and felt safe in the house as well as sitting on the porch throughout the day.
A good alternative to a hotel stay!
Old home charm with modern bathrooms. Close to the falls. In a neighborhood the is being revitalized slowly but we felt safe walking the neighborhood. Washer and dryer on site would put this location over the top.
nice place for our youth group reunion. the neighborhood is on the up swing. we had an area wide power outage which brought neighbors out to their porches. we laughed and offered to help one another. a couple dad's shot off fireworks. the falls does that at 10 pm as i recall. very fun. some houses look a little rough but niagara falls just lifted a moratorium on vrbo so i suspect more reno to come. everything we needed was in the house which was decorated classy and cozie.

Why they chose this property
Over the last several years, we have purchased several homes and brought them back to life. When Andre saw this one on the market, we thought long and hard about it since it needed a lot of work. But could not let it go. It is a beautiful old home in a fabulous location near the Falls. This is an area undergoing revitalization and we are thrilled to be a part of it.
We are fully permitted and certified by the City of Niagara Falls that we meet all building and fire codes required to operate a vacation rental. Many listings in Niagara Falls are not legal, so be careful. Keep your family safe and be sure to book with those operators that can show you their permit and certificate of occupancy.
