I believe this house was the best appointed I’ve stayed with vacation rentals. Everything from the kitchen to the bathrooms, if you can think of it, it has it. A great location for us with destinations of Seward, Homer and Girdwood. Other than the very occasional plane, very peaceful area. And the hosts were great communicators. We would love to stay here again!
We had a great stay. Place was clean and well stocked with little touches that showed hosts care about guests, like bathroom toiletries and kitchen gadgets fish cleaning station ect.
This property is one of my favorite places to stay. Have used the past 2 years. Hosts are very responsive and friendly. All the amenities make it feel as though you never left your own home. No hesitation to book again.
Awesome property — has everything an outdoors person needs. Great setup and full kitchen to cook anything you could want. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.
The Holland’s home was great for our family as well as for our friends! It was so cozy and had everything we needed and more for our short stay in Soldotna to do some dip netting, we loved that they even had a table set up outside to process the fish after catching it, and plenty of freezer space in the garage for storing until it was time to leave. Our kids also had a great time there were toys to play with games to play and puzzles to work on, and plenty of space for everyone! We would highly recommend staying here and we definitely would come back again!
This is must rent again property. Owner has lots of personal touches that make this property the best one I have rented. Jackie was a great host. Lots of amenities - too many to list. You won't be disappointed.
This is the 2nd year in a row staying at this place. It is very well kept and extremely clean. The location is perfect for a large group of people. The owners are very nice and go above and beyond what is required. I will continue to rent this property for the next several years. It's very quit and tucked back off the road nicely.
This house has absolutely everything you need. They thought of everything. It was well laid out and very comfortable. It was located perfectly to see the kenai peninsula. We went to homer, Whittier, girdwood, and steward without very long drives to get there. Awesome house and owner
Wonderful vacation! The property is located in a great location for hiking, fishing, mountain viewing. The home was spotless! Jackie is a kind....immediately helped us with “Clarence,” ( lol,), offered travel timing advice, and even brought over water balloons for the children. Five bedrooms, laundry facilities, large kitchen and the use of the grill was wonderful. Thank you again for the great vacation.
This home was a quiet, forested respite from our cruise for our family of 6 adults and 3 children (aged 3,10,11). The expansive yard with sports equipment, badminton and swing set (in addition to a fire pit) provided space for all to relax and play. The hosts were immediately responsive to a minor issue and forgotten items. Our only regret was that our 3-day stay was too short to explore the peninsula AND try out the fishing! Highly recommend this clean, well equipped and well-kept home.
We had a great time at this spacious, well maintained vacation home. I highly recommend it if you're staying with a large group (7 family members in mine). The kitchen is well stocked with pots, dishes, cutlery, etc. I appreciated the large fridge and freezer in the garage - used it to store fish we caught during our trip. My boys loved the fire pit - we cooked dinner over it several times. Located in Sterling, it was ideal to get around sites across the Kenai peninsula. Jackie was a fantastic host. I'll head back to Alaska again someday - this house will be my first choice to rent again.
This is a home away from home
Everything you need for an amazing stay is at this home. If you want to just stay in and relax it’s perfect. If you want to have a fire with s’mores it’s great. The firepit was perfect. The hosts set up a volleyball net for our use and they had badminton rackets to use too. The hosts were amazing, didn’t invade, but were there if needed. They supplied us with a bunch of fishing gear for visitors to use. The kids enjoyed the big yard and swing set. They have a ton of toys and games for use.
The location is perfect, close enough to go into Soldotna/Kenai if you want or a day trip to Seward or Homer.
We definitely want to stay another time.
Big beautiful house. This house is located off the main highway and is very quiet. I brought 6 executive contractors up for salmon fishing on the Kenai River. This place is perfect. It had a cleaning station for the fish it also had plenty of freezer space for storage. It has cable television also a outdoor patio with a grill. A washer and dryer very large nice rooms. It was a perfect place 20 minutes from Soldotna and the Kenai River. About 15 miles from the entrance of Skilak. Great place to go looking for wildlife. Our flights ran late and I was fortunate enough to meet the owners. Great people very nice!!!!!!!!Perfect house in a great location.
We had a fabulous time at the house and in the surrounding area. The house is so well appointed. The beds are very comfortable. The badminton set and other balls were great for the kids. The fish cleaning station is great! The extra freezer in the garage was great. The hosts are nearby and very helpful. The pictures don’t do it Justice. It was fabulous! I highly recommend staying here!!!
The house was exactly as posted but better. She was warm, welcoming and available for anything we needed. The house was super clean and open. Great for our family gathering. She clearly loves Alaska and had many helpful books and even a great salmon recipe welcome basket on the table. Great yard for kids, grill on thdeck and was always available for questions. Great find!! Thank you!
