Sunny Spacious 2nd Fl home near Union College, Proctors, Ellis

Stay at your home away from home in our floor-through apartment, the entire second floor of a 2-family house. The space includes one queen bedroom, a large kitchen with breakfast counter, den, reading room, entry room/dining area, large living room with queen sofa bed, and small balcony. With several windows in every room the house gets beautiful sunlight throughout the day. Only 3 blocks from Union College, and a short walk to downtown!

Our house is perfect for a couple or a small family. The space can be used as a one-bedroom with large living room, or two-bedroom by closing the pocket doors of the living room and opening the queen sofa bed. A plush mattress pad and extra linens can be found in the chaise storage of the sofa.

The sweet deck off the living room is a great place to read during the day or enjoy an outdoor meal. The house is a classic colonial from 1907 with original hardwood floors, exposed brick, high ceilings, and lots of built-in details. Original artwork and vintage furniture throughout. We used to live here ourselves and the whole house has been lovingly cared for and decorated. If you want a home away from home in a comfortable place with lots of character, you'll love it here. Great spot

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay while we explored the area- including Saratoga Springs, Albany and Lake George. This place had everything we needed for a comfortable convenient stay. We enjoyed our time discovering Schenectady- the host’s recommendations were great.

Such a comfortable and light filled apartment!

This upstairs apartment is delightful. There is a front porch with seating for 2 and a table. Morning coffee with the birds in the trees is a delight. Close to the University and Proctor Theater. We would gladly stay here again.

Great stay!

My parents and sister and I come up to Schenectady for a wedding. We had a lovely stay at David and Laini’s. The upstairs unit was very comfortable and roomy and the location was perfect for our needs and for strolling over to Union College. Our stay was pretty busy but David and Laini had recommendations for restaurants and attractions. Great communication as well.
