Imagine waking up and viewing the stunning sunrise over the water. The colors dance across the sky, reflecting on the calm surface of the lake, creating a picturesque scene that takes your breath away.
As you settle into the cozy and private atmosphere of the house, you feel a sense of peace and tranquility wash over you. The only sounds you hear are the gentle lapping of the waves against the shore and the occasional call of a loon in the distance.
You decide to take advantage of the kayaks and head out onto the water, gliding effortlessly along the shoreline as you take in the beauty of your surroundings. The cool water splashes against your paddle, providing a refreshing sensation under the warm evening sun.
After your kayaking adventure, you take a dip in the crystal-clear lake, feeling the stress and worries of everyday life melt away with each stroke. The water is cool and refreshing, the perfect way to unwind and relax after a long day.
Before you retire for the night, you take a moment to savor the peace and tranquility, knowing that you will wake up refreshed and rejuvenated in the morning. And with Saratoga Springs just a short drive away, you have the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure at your fingertips. A couple things to note, the stairs in the camp going upstairs are small and a bit steep. If you have mobility issues, you may have issues. Also this area is known for its mineral water. The water in the cabin is filtered, however, the hot water can still give off a sulfur odor, keep this in mind before booking here.

The location was idyllic and such a cozy private neighborhood. Comfortable accommodations and nice bonus details like the record player made it a fun stay. Would like to come back again for a long stay and take more advantage of the lakeside amenities.
Wish we could have stayed longer at this sweet cabin by the lake! It was so cozy on a cool October night. We were 3 generations of women - grandmother, mother and daughter and we each found things we loved here. The sunrises, they comfy beds and the charming details like the quirky stairs and the antiques.
Sean was great! Made sure we knew everything we needed to know before and during our stay and that we had everything we needed. The house is a typical cozy lake cottage, simple but suited us fine.

I’m pleased that you were happy with my service, and the cottage! Thank you.
Charming but rustic amazingly well stocked homey cabin. Excellent location. But if you are looking for super modern elegance, this is not the place for you. If you appreciate unique accommodations, you will love it.
Lovely home, well decorated and clean. Owner provided snacks that were very appreciated. Arriving and leaving was simple, and it had a good view of the lake.
Booking was easy, Sean commented openly and was very attentive. We loved the antique decor! Access to the lake is a section of grass between two houses across the street. The only issue we had was that the water smells terrible of sulfur. But overall the stay was great.
Had a great stay, wish the lake was right on the back yard, it's across the road but still very close. Thoughtful host, the cheese and crackers was a nice surprise and a great late night snack. Sunrise over the lake was excellent and the view of the lake from the living room is very peaceful. Great vibes at this place
Staying here brought back all of my childhood memories of cottage we used to visit every summer. I loved the eclectic decor and appreciated the modern amenities (TV in each bedroom). We especially enjoyed the kayaks.
Beautiful location. Very quiet and peaceful. Great to have kayaks and access to the lake though access and the steep stairs are not for people with movement limitations. But we are in our 60s and had no problem. Host was extremely gracious and helpful. We would go back without hesitation.
A classic cottage experience sure to conjure the best of childhood memories connected to river, lake and beach cottages from long ago. Rustic, functional and comfortable. The area is quiet and close to all the top attractions in the area. Would stay again.
Perfect little lake house for a family of four to spend a few days. We came up to see the battle of Saratoga site, which is decently nearby. We came in October so we didn’t get to enjoy the lake beyond viewing it and seeing a lovely sunrise. The house was mostly clean, small (but expected based on the listing photos) and had all the amenities for our family to stay.

Disappointed
The listing was diseving. Lake access was through a very rocky area, no dock. The house could have been cleaned better. The water has a very sulfery odor, so offensive I didn't want to shower. Wouldn't go back.

Thank you for your review. I apologize for any inconvenience. These help me improve guest experiences, and I will definitely look into everything you specified. Guest experiences are the most important thing, and I take them very seriously. There is a dock, but unfortunately because of a recent storm, the removable wood slats had to be pulled off. Had you messaged me, I would’ve quickly placed them back in for you. I will say what is deceiving. You booking in advance, stating you would only have two guests, then the day of your arrival, notifying me there will be four guests, and a gathering of 10 people. I do not allow gatherings at my home, because I simply don’t have the room, or parking capacity, and this is clearly stated as one of the home rules. I had to unfortunately decline your request, yet I was told by one of the neighbors you did have a gathering.
The area has a lot to offer. Two days was not enough time to enjoy it so we’ll need to go back. Lake temp had to be 80 degrees! Spent very little time at our accommodations therefore. Didn’t use kitchen other than for am coffee and didn’t even shower there :) Have to return!

The listing is tremendously misleading. While photos and description suggest there is reasonable access to the lake, the property is in a private lake community. The house rules make clear, docks are not accessible to tenants and no fishing is permitted. As a result, one feels very unwelcome in the community and has really no meaningful access to the lake. There are dangerous aspects in the house, for example, a step off from the first floor stair landing into the kitchen of about 18 inches, and very narrow steps to the second floor. Communication with the prospective tenant was inadequate.

I’m sorry to hear that your experience at the cottage wasn’t what you anticipated. The issues you felt you experienced, are very clearly stated on my listing. I mentioned in that listing that the stairs are steep, and people with mobility issues should consider that. Also, my outdoor amenities does not include a dock. Perhaps you overlooked that before booking? You had requested a watercraft that could accommodate two people, and I provided that. You also asked if there was dock space for a pontoon boat, and I promptly said there is no dock access to place your boat. My home manual didn’t say anything about not being able to fish, what it does say is, fishing is permitted, but you need a license. That’s New York State law, and has nothing to do with me. I’m not sure where misleading information was given. I’m very transparent on what you can, and cannot do.
I apologize that you had less than a good experience. I try to ensure everyone does, so I will look into the issues you stated. I’m not sure what was creating a “moldy” smell, but I will check on that. There hasn’t been any complaints before or after your stay. Many places in this area experience a sulphur smell in their water. I have a filtration system to counteract it, but it’s not 100 percent.
