From start this property was not easy to access the front door as the key code entry did not work. The listing showed and listed a washer/dryer in the downstairs apartment, this was taken out and replaced with shelving. Our family had to walk up/downstairs multiple times to wash clothing/towels. Make sure to bring extra towels and face cloths, we had to buy some in TN as there were not enough for 7 people and 1 toddler. Upon arrival and inspection of master bathroom, there was a clump of hair in the shower. Maintenance had to be called because there was not enough hot water as we had to wait an hour in between everyone's showers and the facet in the kitchen was leaking all over the counter, they could not repair at that time. Be sure to also buy paper products, cleaning products as there is only a vacuum and broom available. If you plan to stay, here be sure to have everything you need from trash bags, to sugar and salt as the cabinets were completely bare. Lastly the listing failed to mention the lake would be 40ft below normal level which happens every year due to them opening the locks and draining.
The setting is absolutely beautiful! I loved all of the outdoor furniture so we could spend lots of time on the deck enjoying the view. The dogs loved the fenced yard and the lake. There was an entire basement level that we did not have access to, but there was plenty of room on the upstairs level. There was a mix-up with the hot tub, so we didn't get to use it much.
The little town of Dandridge nearby is a charming place and has a couple of restaurants and shops to visit. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!
The home was beautiful, clean, and located right on the water with its own dock. This was the perfect spot for our family and we definitely enjoyed our time there.
Property was just like described. It was on a huge piece of property with great views! It had everything u could want in a lake house. I would stay there again and recommend to anyone.
The home was well taken care of and had everything we needed. The fenced yard was great for our dog to run around in. Everything in the home worked perfectly and it was very clean. The views are spectacular and the location was great for us, being convenient to both Knoxville and Gatlinburg with the opportunity to leave the crowded areas and relax in peace. Truly had a wonderful time!
We have stayed in this property in the past but the experience in August 2022 was awful and the property management company is non responsive to our request to remedy. Upon arrival we realized the downstairs apt not only had not been cleaned but had a significant odor due to a water leak. The smell of mildew rendered the entire lower level uninhabitable. We've reached out to both the property manager and VRBO for a partial refund and have been ignored. The floors of the apt are warped due to the water damage. It is too bad the owners have chosen such an awful property management company and have ignored such a significant issue. Anyone staying here going forward be forewarned!

Lovely location but a lackluster property
First, the location in TN is gorgeous, and very close to many things to do in the area. We spent quite a bit of time out on the lake or in nearby cities and it was very convenient. However, this house is billed as a multi family getaway but it didn’t live up to the hype. We had 2 families, with 5 kids between us. There was no instructions at check in on how to access the lower level apartment and after some confusion with the property manager we were finally in. The lower level was described as great for grandparents but is very out of the way to access with a lot of stairs/steps between it and the main living space. The bed in that apartment can hardly be described as such, more a lumpy futon mattress vs anything supportive. Upstairs there isn't much in the way of containers for food storage, two garbage bags, and no cleaning supplies. So if you are coming, make sure to pack all this else you are running to the store. The oven takes ages to come to temperature, and then you need to cook everything for longer than expected timing. All upstairs bedrooms can hear everything in every other room, even out to the main living area. The bathtub in the primary bedroom had no handles to be able to use it. Also, the mattresses in all upstairs rooms were as hard as stone. Bring laundry soap bc there are barely enough bath towels to get by and you will need to run wash loads several times to make it a week. This property is a bit rundown and while we liked the area, it is better that folks know what they are getting when they arrive.
This home had great views of the mountains and Douglas lake. It was a perfect spacious home for a group. I had to reach out to get key codes to get in the home two different times because they were not provided. I also reached out on the second day of our stay because the hot tub was broken, they sent someone out 24 hours later and it still wasn’t fixed so we did not get to use it. No one reached out to say if it was going to be resolved. There were other cheaper options available for me to rent for the long weekend but I specifically chose this one for the hot tub so I feel like I wasted money to stay here.
