We loved the fact that there was no WiFi. We got the full RRG experience without having to sleep in tents which was perfect for my parents. The stars at night were stunning, and it was perfectly secluded! I would stay here again.
This stay did not disappoint. The property manager was very attentive when we needed anything. The cabin is so we'll equipped with anything you may need. The hot tub works fantastic ( seems a rarity in vrbo world). And it's a perfect location to explore RRG. We plan to come back again!
The Turkey Cove cabin is a well-stocked and newly updated retreat that is just a short distance away from the beauties of Red River Gorge. It offers the luxury of a hot tub after a long day of hiking and comfortable furniture and beds to relax in at the days end.
amazing getaway for our family. cabin is rustic and cozy. it is very secluded which was great. owner was very attentive throughout the entire trip. when we arrived the hot tub was not working and the owner was very quick to resolve the issue. kitchen is well stocked. great place to unwind and unplug. we will definitely book again.
It was a super comfortable stay for our family of five. The cabin is very clean and has everything you need. The only thing the kitchen did not have was a microwave. There is also no fans, so if you prefer to sleep with a fan you need to pack one. We loved the privacy and location.
We loved being a bit off the beaten path and having privacy. The cabin was just big enough for what we needed and we enjoyed our stay. We had 2 small things pop up while staying that weren’t a big deal, but never received any response to messages about them. Again, they weren’t a huge deal, but I’m sure some people expect a bit more attention from hosts. We were just fine and had a lovely stay, though. We would stay again!

It was okay..
I really enjoyed the seclusion/rustic feel of the cabin. I did not enjoy the wet laundry that was left in the dryer or the mold in the shower. And the fact that the host did not respond when we addressed those issues… also took us til the following morning to get the wifi password, which was when we were leaving so…
Oh, and bring your own coffee :)
Was told there was wifi at the cabin, there wasn't.
Was told they had Dish TV so we could watch the the bowl games, their Dish package didn't have local channels or ESPN. We payed $1000 for a weekend getaway with friends to watch football. Unbelievably disappointing.
Cute Property - Might Return if Mice are Dealt With
It is a cute property overall. Could be great for couples get away weekend or a family with young children. The property is difficult to find so do not rely on GPS - get instructions from the property owner. We barely slept because there were many mice in the attic making much noise at night right above our bed. We only saw one mouse which was in the kitchen but did not bother us. We may visit again if the owner confirms the mice were take care of.
We enjoyed our short stay at Turkey Cove cabin very much. It was a quick get away from Indianapolis. The roads to the cabin were in good condition and good detailed directions provided by the cabin rental agency made it easy to find. Check in and out was handled by text and was very easy. Phone reception at the cabin was good too even though the location felt very secluded. The area was beautiful with all of the fall leaves turning. Despite being secluded it was easy to get to the many Red River Gorge attractions.
The cabin was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. We liked the big open kitchen and the big table was perfect to try and work a puzzle. Usually I hate water away from home but the water here was actually clear and really good straight from the tap. We didn’t see any turkeys, but it was really cool to see all the stars at night while relaxing in the hot tub.
