My family and I had a great time during our stay. The cabin is very clean. The atmosphere was just what we needed for our Thanksgiving get-away.

The cabin was just like it said. HOWEVER... the cleanliness was absolutely awful. We are not ones to complain as we visit many places. This particular cabin was bad. I understand cobwebs and dust in a wooded cabin. I also understand its a cabin thar allows pets. So we didnt expect it to be immaculate. What we did expect was clean towels and showers. There were literally medication patches stuck to the shower walls. The towels had stains on them. There was hair stuck to the shower walls we we arrived. Just being honest in hopes it helps. We gave stayed at multiple cabins in the RRG and this was by far the worst experience.

Cabin was good but other cabins are close cabin was very comfortable road to cabin is very steep but doable
We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back. Check in and check out was easy and right down the street. Good communication with host. The location of the cabin is great and a quick easy drive up into the mountain. Parking was big enough I could easily turn my Escalade ESV around. There are some stairs gong up from the parking to the front door but we were staying there to hike the area so stairs were not really a problem for us or our dog. Is the cabin new, no, but we thought it was nice especially for the price and views. Cabin had everything we needed and if it didn't there were 2 gas stations right before the entrance to go up to it.

The stay was good overall, clean place, good location. Our first night there was a fox barking right outside the bedroom window that woke me up, but everyone else slept through it.

Thanks for the feedback! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the clean space and convenient location. As for the fox—welcome to the Gorge! Nature has a way of reminding us we're in its backyard, we're sorry it kept you awake, but we're glad it didn't keep the rest of your group from getting a good night's sleep. We hope to host you again!

We all liked the cabin, disliked the driveway. Had a good time. Wanted to was a load of laundry, it was locked.
Very nice and well kept. My daughter called it our tree house. She loved that big bathtub(jacuzzi) Only thing was her climbing the stairs, might want to bring your own baby gates.
The condo was clean, cute, had everything we needed. The pool and restaurant downstairs were wonderful! The sunrise view from our balcony was gorgeous!
We enjoyed our stay here! The cabin was in the perfect location, close to the natural bridge and red River gorge scenic loop. The cabin was comfy and clean. We felt right at home. We will definitely come again.

The location was good and parking/driving was easy. But the cabin floors were very dirty and they didn't provide many cleaning supplies. But I'd stay here again for the amount of space and location.

Pros great central location, living room furnishings very comfy, nice rustic cabin, very homey water pressure was good, movies provided.Cons beds were on rollers and wood floors you do the math, neighbors super close in great number, view is very lack luster, not great for hiking, showers are small, tvs are small. No big tables for cars or bored games, Worth the four stars very well deserved four stars. Overall we had an amazing visits and would definitely recommend especially if your there to experience the red river gorge attractions.

The cabin was beautiful. The stairs to it takes forever. Loved the view from the balconies. Didn’t like the placement of the firepit. It's a little inconvenient. The fireplace didn't work and that was disappointing. Overall it was a beautiful quiet stay. We were able to get very much needed peaceand quiet. We'd probably would stay again here but still might check out the other cabins.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the beauty of the cabin and the peaceful atmosphere—it’s great to know you were able to get some much-needed rest and relaxation.
We completely understand that the stairs can be a bit of a challenge. While there are quite a few, we do make sure to mention this in our listing so guests can be prepared. We appreciate you bringing it up, as we know accessibility is an important factor for some visitors.
We’re also grateful for your feedback on the firepit placement and the fireplace. We sincerely apologize that the fireplace wasn’t working during your stay, and we will be addressing this to ensure it’s in proper working order.
We’d love to host you again, whether in this cabin or one of our other properties. If you decide to try a different one, we’d be happy to help you find the perfect fit! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we can assist in any way.
Thanks again for staying with us, and we hope to welcome you back soon!
Great location, decently priced, gatlinburg-type cabin vibe, but upgrades are needed. Lighting was very dim, TV's were too small; housekeeping can do a better job cleaning - crumbs on couches, floors dirty. Front main balcony & furniture was nice but the furniture on the back deck and back outdoor chairs were not suitable to sit on (need to be thrown away or deep cleaning). The bonfire pit was up a steep dirt hill and is hazardous to get to. Some nice rustic touches like the upstairs hand banister was made out of tree branches, which looked cool. I would recommend upgrades in order to book another stay here again though.

Cabin in Slade, KY
First, know that there are 38 steps to reach the door. If you travel with pet crates, pet beds, coolers etc you may be exhausted before you get there. The home was poorly stocked. No paper towels, shampoo, soap etc. There were only a few pots and pans. There were dirty forks in the drawer and the floor was dirty. The bed was uncomfortable. The bedroom drawers were full of their linens leaving no room for us the unpack clothes. We left after one night.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that the cabin didn’t meet your expectations.
We do want to clarify a few things. The number of steps to the cabin is clearly noted in the listing with the statement: "There are several flights of steps to this cabin (3 flights or so), but the prize at the end is well worth the effort." This helps ensure guests are aware before booking. There are also several photos of the stairs in our listing.
As for supplies, the cabin is stocked with the basics listed in our message to guests. That message also includes a “What to Bring” section outlining that guests should bring items such as paper towels, coffee, filters, toiletries, spices, and condiments.
We’re sorry to hear about the housekeeping concerns. That’s not up to our standards, and we’ve addressed this with our team to prevent future issues. We appreciate you letting us know and will continue working to improve.

Dirty
Cabin was nice and in a nice spot but it was very dirty. Went down and spoke with the property manager explained how there was a coating of dust over lots of surfaces as well as the ceiling fan blades and cobwebs in slot of the corners. the instructions said not to turn the ac colder than 74 or if would freeze up the condenser and we would be charged for the repair.. but the rains we so dirty they were unusable. The property manager was very nice and said she would have some one clean while we were out for the day. Someone did come and mop which was not the issue but there was still dust over everything and obvious cobwebs in the corners. I paid 575 dollars for a three night stay and that is a special thing for us to be able to do. I was very disappointed as this was my wife’s birthday gift. We still had a good time, hiking around, and the location was nice and close to lots of hiking but for how much we spent I was quite disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the cabin did not meet your expectations, especially for such an important occasion. We addressed the concerns you raised during your stay, but it’s clear more should have been done, and we apologize for that.
We are following up with our cleaning team and addressing the AC vent condition. While we’re glad you enjoyed the location, we agree the cabin should have been better prepared, and we are taking steps to correct this.
Thank you again for bringing it to our attention.

Good Enough
For the cost, I was expecting a nicer cabin than cheaper ones I have rented in the area. The neighborhood and location are great, and the cabin is adorable. But, we didnt receive our check in instructions, so when we arrived and had no internet, it was very difficult to find out that we actually have to go to a coffee shop 2 miles away to check in. We also missed out on the heads up that there are no paper towels, coffee filters, etc. So we were very unprepared for all of that, and made our first night more stressful than the beginning of a vacation should be. Then, we discovered two of the towels left for us were dirty. Not stained, dirty. Had to once again drive to the coffee shop to get clean ones as no extra are provided. The instructions for the fireplace do not help, so it was unusable, which was sad as we were looking forward to it. There were also stains on the sheets, which is quite gross and easy to remedy by replacing the sheets. I also found dried contacts on the bedside table, which were difficult to see but made it obvious that commonly used surfaces weren't clean. I know it is the renters responsibility to clean dishes before leaving, but it should be on the management to check to make sure the dishes are actually clean- they were, for the most part, not clean.
In short, we had a nice enough stay, but will be renting from other places in the future as this was pretty disappointing for the cost.
