Frequently asked questions
About the host
Hosted by Kathryn Green
Mike and Kathy live in Columbus, Ohio, but fell in love with Michigan City on a vacation trip nearby. We stay here whenever we can and share the home with others when we aren't available to travel. Our two adult children also visit as well as the family dogs. We find it spacious, comfortable, and close to lots of things to do.
Why they chose this property
Our home is conveniently located between the Uptown Arts District with cute shops and local restaurants, the Lighthouse Outlet Mall, and is walking distance to the lakeshore, the only lighthouse in Indiana, the public beach, and Washington Park and Zoo. The Blue Chip Casino is nearby. Indiana Dunes National Park is only a ten minute drive away. The South Shoreline train runs from Michigan City to Chicago's Millennium Park (or to South Bend heading the other direction).
What makes this property unique
Four large bedrooms and two bathrooms with spacious common areas make it easy to accommodate multiple couples or a family. Pets are welcome. There are nice outdoor spaces including a front porch, second floor deck and large backyard which is fully fenced.
