Play and Stay on Put in Bay!
Put in Bay, also know as South Bass Island has been called the Key West of the North. It is an island located in the western basin of Lake Erie and is reached by ferry from Port Clinton, Catawba or Sandusky. You can bring a car although the taxi service and golf cart rentals are a great way to get around. Put in Bay is definitely a fun loving place. The summer weekends are noted for the many taverns and nightlife, however during the weekdays and off season, it's a great place to relax with family and friends. There's history with Perry's monument, a lighthouse, butterfly house, wineries, a state park for lake swimming and fishing, a public golf course, jet ski rentals, miniature golf, or just enjoying the scenery at DeRiveria Park! After a busy day you can relax in the new development pool or just soak in the garden tub with a good book. Our home has two decks, great for relaxing and kicking back. On a quiet night you can hear the waves!

Marie was wonderful, providing extra accomodations to help offset the Island Club deciding to work on the roads surrounding the property with very little information on very short notice. Very clean and with plenty of cups, straws, dishes, etc. Thank you!!

Nice space for 6 adults. Very comfortable furnishings and layout. Good size deck on front and back. Too bad they are not clear of debris before arrival. Tough parking more than one truck and boat. All the other house guests near by were great.

The property was THE PERFECT LOCATION—off the beaten path but easy to get to downtown—LOVE THE ISLAND CLUB BUS!!! Marie is very easy to communicate with and gets right back to you with any questions!!

Great time
It was my first weekend rental and not being very tech savy I was a bit nervous. Everything went without a hitch! We had a wonderful time exploring Put-in Bay and the rental had everything we needed. We will certainly do it again.

Enjoyed put in bay. First time visiting. The house needs floors and doors fixed. Ants in the kitchen. Decks need replacing as well. Over all enough space and nice location.

Bachelorette Party Weekend
The house is in a great location and the neighborhood was clean and pretty quiet! There’s a nice community pool as well.
There is a shuttle service from the Island Club to anywhere you want to go around the island which was a nice surprise! It’s $4 per person one way and it runs until 3AM especially now that you have to pay to park a golf cart around the boardwalk.
Our hostess was very helpful and responsive and her instructions for check-in and check-out were easy to understand and follow.
The trip and my first experience with VRBO was great!

Family Vacation
I was pleased with the place. It's in a quit neighborhood and I enjoyed sitting on the decks. We went fishing several times from the bank and caught several catfish, bass, rock bass and perch. You'll wanna rent a golf cart as it seems to be the easiest way to get around the island. My only complaint about the stay was that I ran out of propane on the grill after only using it one time.

We love the water, we love the sun, and we especially love getting away with family and friends. We truly believe that time spent together makes our bonds stronger, and for this reason we purchased this property. We're average folks, just wanting to have the opportunity to share our island home with others.
Why they chose this property
We love the beach and living in Ohio, we've always enjoyed Lake Erie, it's amazing what the North Coast has to offer. Because Put in Bay is an island and is only reached by ferry or plane, we always got the feeling that we were 'on vacation' when we went, even if it's just for a few days. Put in Bay has so much to offer, from the great entertainment, the quaint shops, wineries and the spectacular sunsets.
What makes this property unique
Our home is completely furnished and ready for your stay. Put in Bay is within a day's drive of much of the Midwest. It's amazing to realize that guests from places as far as Wisconsin, Chicago, Cinncinnati, Washington DC and Pittsburgh regularly come to enjoy this little island in Western Lake Erie.
