Very nice place to stay. The rooms were clean. Nice kitchen area, dinning room, and all around layout of everything. Convenient location for shopping, or to get on highway to go into Charleston downtown or any other places to visit.
The pillows were inadequate, so bring your own. The place had plenty of sleeping areas with bathrooms which we needed with 4 adults. Needs more towels and washcloths. We enjoyed the convenience to downtown Charleston.
We enjoyed staying at Low Country Retreat. The Deck was a wonderful place to sit at the end of the day and enjoy the view of the Lake. There are many Seagulls flying about, but never bothered us. The place could use some deferred maintenance; paint on deck, touch-ups around the house. The 4th bedroom left something to be desired; it is very small and we already told the owner about the mattress. Very convenient to the CHS airport, restaurants and Walmart. All in all, it was a good place to gather, relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Beautiful property, we were there at the end of May and the deck with the Lakeview was really nice at night, it was not buggy. The turtles were quite a treat!
Home was in an excellent location, conveniently located to many things, including the airport and downtown. The beds were reasonably comfortable. The host was very responsive. The turtles were an amazing addition.

Balcony need to be clean and need some updated rug and pillows they’re very dirty. The house was clean and stock.Shopping centers was very close and restaurants. Very quiet area you can get the airplanes but it nothing to stop you from relaxing. To many sea gulls couldn’t sit out in the balcony and eat cause they would try to take your food.. lol.
Our family of 6 enjoyed a short getaway in this residence. Despite some bad press about North Charleston, we found the area to be very safe! It was so conveniently located near everything on our list. Our 2 year old and 15 year old both thoroughly enjoyed the balcony. The turtles, seagulls & ducks have been very well fed and they thanked us by posing for lots of great photos. I would highly recommend! Thanks so much!
Great place if you want a place centrally located between Charleston and Summerville. The only small complaint would be the airplane noise at night but you get used to it. Great place. Highly recommend
We had a really nice time. The location was great. Very central to everywhere we visited. They had a welcome basket with waters and snacks. The size of the house was perfect for our group. I have one complaint, the stairs were so noisy that they woke people up. We loved the turtles and feeding them daily.
Place was perfect for our family of five. We loved seeing the lake and all the birds. Great location, close to town and my sister in Summerville. Host was wonderful with info and communication. Highly recommend!!
