Unique and spacious, very kind host

We had a wonderful time at this unique and beautiful property. There was plenty of space for us and the kitchen was well-equipped for all our needs. The host was so kind and shared local recommendations for restaurants, which worked out wonderfully. The location was unbeatable for seeing the historic Goshen track and for visiting Legoland (just minutes away). Would love to come back someday!

Emily was very accommodating & allowed us to check in early. She had just finished cleaning the space so we were able to meet her & she gave us a tour. We were right across from the harness racing track so we saw some training going on. We were in town for a family wedding which took place about 20 minutes from our location. It was perfect for my family to spread out & relax

Barn turned into super cool apartments

The place was so nicely redone. Only major problem was the (huge) house next door was being built, and they started the construction at 7am on a Saturday. It happens, but that piece of information wasn’t in the online listing and we were not told about it until the day prior to check-in. With that said, we made it work and the property manager/owner was super responsive and compensated us a little for the trouble. She also let us check-in early which was awesome. It was so clean and perfect for the quick weekend we needed it for.

Purchased in 2017, Dave and Emily have been extensively overhauling and renovating the buildings on the property with the help of their two kids. Emily is an Interior Designer by trade, a longtime GPLHS Library Trustee, and the head of Goshen Sarah Wells Girl Scouts. Dave is a Lieutenant with the New York City Fire Department in the Bronx and has been serving with the FDNY since 2001, a Planning Team Manager for FEMA Urban Search & Rescue Task Force and is a Past Captain of the Goshen Minisink Hook & Ladder Co. 1. In addition to tackling most of the construction work at this property, he has designed and maintained over 300 websites since 1996. They both lived in Goshen since 2007 and are happily raising our two children here. We are invested in the future of our village.

Why they chose this property

We combined our expert construction and design skills into rebuilding and making this historic horse barn into a stylish and comfortable getaway for families and friends. It is located within walking distance to what our great Village area has to offer, it is close to the highway, and just under 5 minutes from Legoland New York.

What makes this property unique

We saw the potential that most others did and had the time and dedication to take on such a huge project. We are tackling the farmhouse next door and are currently in the progress of building.
