Great location and apartment

Apartment is spacious with lot's of windows and excellent views from the two decks. It's 1 block away from Pl. Victor Hugo which has many restaurants, a taxi stand, Metro stop and a outstanding bakery.

Not a summer rental

The view and location are fantastic. Great restaurants and transportation within close proximity. Having said that the home was not as advertised. I never received clarity on how to check in and about 15 hours before I was scheduled to be there I contacted VRBO for assistance which was helpful but the property owner left a lot of anxiety by not helpfully answering questions like where to park, how to access the building, how to pick up keys until minutes before arriving. The apartment does have a typical European elevator for the building but it does not go to the floor the apartment is on. The apartment does technically have air conditioning but to use the one portable unit it must vent through an open french door (which on a hot day does not cool the place). There are a few other nitpicking items like drains not draining, general fit and finish being on the more depreciated side given the rent costs. The young person that was the face of this rental was very nice as was his mother, but the anxiety of not knowing if we were going to have a place to stay in Paris and then finding it was not as advertised was very frustrating. If I were coming for a spring/fall trip it would be fine and perhaps having more reviews will give people more confidence in what to expect.
