Tucked in the mountains of western NC, Nancy's Nest lies just outside the heartbeat of Sylva, and Dillsboro where you'll find everything from a trail of breweries and quaint shops, to white water rafting. We are 5 miles to Western Carolina University, and close to The Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Cherokee Casino. Dressed season appropriately(we recommend layering), these mountains can be hiked year round, with each season holding its own beauty. The cottage, with its well equipped updated kitchen, and cozy atmosphere assures you a relaxing stay, with a view that says feast your eyes on our magnificents. Come and discover why so many return to this area year after year.

Turn off the lights and lock the doors

Place towels in washer by placing detergent directly in washer tub and bleach in the bleach dispenser and start.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Comfortable, cozy place to stay

We stayed here because it was close to WCU and am looking forward to staying here again. The views are breathtaking and the house is clean, comfortable and relaxing. It is close to restaurants and shopping.

Bike Ride Weekend

My husband and I were in Sylva for the NC Mountain Bike Ride. This cabin fit our needs perfectly. It was close to downtown, very clean, the kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots and pans. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our time here and would most certainly recommend this location.

Short Winter Getaway

We enjoyed our stay in Silva. The house was everything that we expected, it was very clean and had everything we needed for our quick 4 night stay. Small quant and quiet town that made it easy to go explore with only a short drive back at the end of the day. We skied at Cataloochee, visited Cherokee, stopped at a few waterfalls, saw elk along the way, Jackson County Library was beautifully decorated, and toured The Biltmore. Nancy was easy to work with and was quick to respond, you can tell she takes great pride in this rental property.

Why they chose this property

We lived and loved this property for many years. We raised our family in this small, but cozy cottage. We remodeled the kitchen and bath to update the house and after doing the work ourselves, it’s very near and dear to our hearts. We wanted to make it feel like home when you walk in the door, so we added a few small touches to achieve that goal.
