About this property

2BR house in Los Alamos downtown

The 2BR/2BH house is conveniently located close to LANL and downtown. It also offers an easy exit to Santa Fe. The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac, in a safe, family-friendly environment. Most houses on the street are occupied by LANL employees and retirees.

House is within 5-10 minutes driving from LANL (8 minutes to the Badge Office), 2 minutes driving to Smith grocery store, 2 minutes driving to LA fitness center, 3 minutes to YMCA, 6 minutes driving to Hospital, 5 minutes driving to the Aquatic center with the Olympic sized indoor swimming pool. Playground, movie theater, library, tennis courts, swimming pool, ice rink, and trails are within a walking or short driving distance. Free Los Alamos bus stop is a few minutes away. 20 minutes walking to the intercity bus stop by the library.

There is a queen bed in the Master bedroom, and a twin bed in the second bedroom. In addition to two bedrooms, there is also an office off the living room. There are two desks in the house to accommodate a working couple. One desk is in the office, another one is in the living room. The large eat-in kitchen was recently renovated, and features a wood burning stove. It opens to a cozy furnished patio with top of the line grill. In summer, enjoy coffee and meals outside on a patio overlooking large backyard landscaped with fruit trees, berries and herbs (which guests are welcome to take advantage of!) The backyard is fully fenced.

House provides an ample parking space in front and to the side of the house, it can fit an RV or a boat.

About the host

Host profile image
Hi! We are Olga and Andrei, and we enjoy creating beautiful, comfortable properties that feel like home. We try to think of every little detail that turns a house into a home, and bring them all to our properties. We think of our guests as friends, who came to visit, and we are always there for them when they need our help with settling in comfortably, getting to know the area, or just need some inside information about our town.

We both are engineers by trade. Andrei works as a radiological engineer, and Olga switched from engineering to Airbnbs after our youngest was born. Our oldest son is working on his MS in Europe. Our youngest is in the Elementary school.

Among our combined interests are travel (together we've visited about 40 countries), hiking, learning new languages, art, tennis, history, books and of course, meeting new people! We meet all kinds of Amazing people through our Airbnbs - some make us laugh, others make us think, and all broaden our view of the world and humanity (which is always a good thing, right? :) ).

If you have any questions about the properties or the area, please don't hesitate to get in touch! We are always happy to hear from you and to share local tips to make your stay more enjoyable!

Hope to see you at one of our properties!
