Secluded Mountain View Cabin w Private Lake Access

This secluded cozy cabin sleeps 4 and is nestled in the hills of Lake Douglas. With mountain views and lake front access, you'll have time to relax, fish, boat and view the mountains from the back porch. 25 minutes from Pigeon Forge (Dollywood) and 45 minutes from Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountain Nation Park. There is no shortage of things to do in this area, but while you're back at the cabin, you'll be happy you chose Shady Shore.
The hill to the lake is quite steep. We have a path, however it is challenging. Fireplace is electric.
*The lake water level is low from Sept to March*

Wonderful ,clean ,quiet and very relaxing it’s exactly what we were looking for our 34th anniversary. We enjoyed the kayaks and just going down by the lake and sitting on the dock. Would love to come back. Thank you!

This cabin was very well stocked and the host was very easy to get ahold of and quick to respond which was nice. (Thanks ryan) our week was pretty awesome bringing our 2 kids playing in the lake and going to town when we wanted to. Loved the views every morning and the kids like seeing all the air traffic going over while we ate dinner on the back deck.

Very clean and quiet place. Peaceful with a beautiful view across the mountains. Definitely makes me want to book another vacation! Even though the lake was dried up, we still walked down there and it was gorgeous.

Wonderful cabin

The location is amazing with the views of the mountain tops and just the overall beautiful scenery. The cabin was everything you could want from the cozy environment to the home lifestyle. We loved this place so much and can’t wait to go back and stay again sometime.

Nice place, situated nicely on the lake, maybe a better understanding could be voiced as to how far from the lake and how steep the hill is to get to it would be helpful and maybe cut a path through the tall grass to allow access, Although it was hot while we were there, low 90’s. The air conditioner wouldn’t get below 75 in the afternoon/evening time so it is hot trying to sleep. Nevertheless we truly enjoyed our stay

Relax with stunning views

This beautifully decorated cabin is so peaceful and relaxing and has the most stunning views of the lake as you watch the sunrise and set during your stay. It is well worth the drive up the hill to be there. We will definitely be going back!

Cozy Mountain Cabin

Cozy, quiet relaxing cabin off the main roads/highway. Very winding back roads but worth the drive. Close enough to fun activities in downtown Sevierville and Pigeon Forge areas. Highly recommend hiking any trails nearby.

We agree about the water. This is the first year we have seen the TVA hold off on raising the lake level. It’s has mostly come up since then. We’re glad everything else was great with your stay.

Why they chose this property

We absolutely fell in love with this area. I traveled here when I was a kid and finally made it back with the family a few years back. We have been traveling here every year since. My wife wanted lake front and I wanted mountain views. It wasn't easy to find both in the area but we were lucky to find this little gem of a cabin which boasts both. All year long we talk about our next trip to the cabin. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
