THE CRAB TRAP
The address is 325 Lakeview Dr. Slidell,LA, 70458, just 7 miles from New Orleans and about 20 minutes from downtown.
Enjoy the 250 ft pier with covered area for fishing, crabbing or just relaxing!!
There are a number of crab traps and nets for our guests to enjoy, as well as a few rods and reels. Also, we have a couple of Poles for the younger kids.
We've had a lot of success crabbing right off of the dock, a favorite pastime for both kids and adults alike.
There are also bright fishing lights at the end of the pier for night fishing!! Trout must be at least 13.5 inches to keep and a fishing license a must for over 12 year olds. This can be purchased very near the property or at Walmart.
Please bring your pool & lake floats and toys and enjoy everything Lake Pontchartrain has to offer.
There is a bait and supply shop just a couple of blocks away if you need bait or equipment. The Blue Crab Restaurant is also very close to the marina. You are welcome to bring down your boat or jet skis if you wish.
THERE ARE TO BE NO ADDITIONAL GUESTS, PARTIES OR GATHERINGS OF ANY KIND ON THE PROPERTY.
We’re glad to have y’all - come on down!!

Thank you for the 5 star rating - we appreciate it! Pat and Christine Corona
Owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The guys caught some nice catfish. Even though it was a little chilly they really enjoyed the dock.
We had an absolute blast! We enjoyed crabbing, fishing, and swimming all weekend! My kids didn't want to leave the pier. There was no lack of things for them to catch. The location was perfect being so close to the marina and a restaurant. The sleeping arrangements worked great for our family with a mix of adults and children. My teens said this was the best host ever sharing fishing tips with them. The adults, when they were not fishing or crabbing too, enjoyed the views of the lake and watching the children enjoy themselves.
This house was the perfect setup for our family’s vacation this year. It had everything we needed to enjoy a week away from the hustle and bustle of life. Their was a sandy area next door that provided hours of fun for the kids while being in eyesight of the adults. 10/10 recommend!
It was a great fit for our family. The owner was absolutely awesome to work with. Fishing and crabbing were great. We will return again. Thank you for your hospitality.
Weather messed up our night fishing but the strong winds kept us cool while we hung out on the pavillion during the day. Great oysters at the Blue Crab and FRESH soft shell crab at Phils Marina Cafe. I grew up on a camp on the other side of the Rigolets and this trip brought back great memories.
We had a fantastic time and made some great memories! Plenty of outdoor space, which is where we spent most of our time. We enjoyed fishing, crabbing and watching the beautiful sunsets. Just a short 30 minute ride to downtown. The owner was extremely quick to respond and lovely!
We had the most amazing vacation=very possibly the best one we have ever had. We loved having the house right on the water for my husband to fish and we caught and cooked crabs right off the dock. Having the house right there was wonderful for caring for my infant- naptimes, feeding. I wish we had stayed longer. Wonderful restaurant and bait shop 2 blocks away. We are planning our trip back already!
Our family had a great time here. The kitchen is well stocked; everything we could have needed was there, just missing a Tupperware cupboard with mismatched lids. Pat (host) has been the best host from my experiences. From the few questions, she has accommodated/set up things for our convenience. Best stay so far, would love to come back.

Hoping y’all come back soon!! Pat Corona
Family with small childrenWe enjoyed our stay very much! The house accommodated our family group of 7 adults and 2 children. Fishing and crabbing from the run and back deck area was easy and fun. The rolling gates on the back porch were very helpful since we had a toddler with us. The WIFi and TV worked well. We loved being on Lake Pontchartrain with New Orleans a reasonable drive away. Had great communication with Host Pat C. Check in and check out was easy. The house had several plug-in air fresheners and fragranced laundry detergent is used. Be aware and check with the host if someone in your group is fragrance sensitive.

Everything about this property was amazing, from the swings & hammocks downstairs, to the pier with crab traps & fishing, overall beautiful house on the lake to make lots of memories, walking distance to a good seafood restaurant & plenty of shops/restaurants in the area. Conveniently located next to a bridge that is a straight shot to new orleans! Dont second guess this as your next getaway whether you wanna relax or celebrate theres always something to do! Would love to stay again and would like to thank the hosts so much for all their help!

This house was perfect for what we were looking for, for our visit in Slidell. We had ample space to unload and unwind. We had the feeling of being at home away from home. The view of the lake was absolutely everything we could have wanted as well. Can't top it!
Many new memories made last week and a great time was had by all!
Will recommend this vacation spot to everyone, clean and beautiful. Caught crabs and a large garfish right off the dock. Reminiscing about good times and making new memories last week was the best, thank you!
Our family loved staying here. My kids loved playing under the house, collecting shells, and watching the many lizards. We all were able to have our own space. We really enjoyed being so close to New Orleans, but not IN New Orleans. The only problem we had was that when we went to check in the house wasn't quite ready, in the big scheme of things this isn't that big of a deal.
Great location on the water of lake Ponchatrain. Our boys enjoyed fishing, catching crabs and swimming in the lake. We drove into New Orleans which was an easy 30 min drive to enjoy food and music. We also drove an hour over to Gulf Port and took the ferry to Ships Island for a day on the beach and dolphin watching.

My teenage girls and I adore the water. We love spending time at the lake house fishing, crabbing and boating. The 250 pier over the lake provides excellent fishing and a relaxing space to spend the days together.
What makes this property unique
This house is walking distance to "The Blue Crab" a wonderful seafood restaurant on the water. They generally have a live band on the weekend and outside seating to enjoy the entertainment and the weather. Point Break Volleyball is also walking distance.
