Very cute decor, good use of space that makes the house feel bigger than its listed size. Location is not far from anything, but that said there aren't really and grocery stores or restaurants super close by, so plan accordingly (15-20 minutes with traffic). We experience both lows below freezing and highs near 80 over our three days and the house heater and AC handled both just fine. Good water pressure and water temp as well. Very responsive host for any questions or local info if needed. :)

Perfect weekend

My daughters and I came to Richmond to visit close friends who recently had a baby; we had never done anything in Richmond but drive down 95, we really enjoyed exploring the town and this home was PERFECT. I have stayed in many vacation homes, this is by far the cleanest I have been in, well decorated and had everything we needed for a long weekend. The location was convenient and neighbors were friendly. We hope to be back soon!

Mostly good, but some bad.

The Host of this property was perfect. She had thought of (almost) everything. This property is new to VRBO and the Host would like feedback. The property was spotless, very well furnished and decorated; the kitchen was fully equipped; linens were plentiful and readily available; we had one issue which we discussed with the Host, at the time, and she remedied it immediately. There were a couple of things we wished the Host had provided, but they were minor (a box of tissues; a pen/pencil + notepad.) We did have one major issue that would deter us from either re-visiting or recommending this property - the neighborhood traffic. We could see by the info online that this house was on a corner of 2 streets, what we did not know was that one of those streets was a major-use road and the other smaller neighborhood street was a cut-through from one main road to another. We did have to use earplugs; we found we could not sit outside and hold a conversation due to the passing traffic; and because there are not room-darkening curtains in the bedrooms we were disturbed by traffic headlights. All of this is such a shame, because both the Host and the Porperty itself are quite lovely.

Thank you for the feedback George! I am installing blackout curtains today for our next guests. I would have brought some right over had I known during your stay! We're dedicated hosts and definitely don't want any lights waking up guests while on vacation so that is helpful to know. We are hoping our brand new privacy fence will cut down on any noise of a passing car. We're located in the in the heart of Richmond so unfortunately a convenient location and traffic often go together. We are doing quite a bit of landscaping around the deck to provide as much tranquility as possible. Thanks again for your stay!

Perfect stay in the Lakeside area!

We rented this house to attend a family event in Richmond and it was great! We had plenty of space for two couples and you could tell the house had been recently renovated. The inside is adorable! We walked to the botanical gardens and there are restaurants and stores within walking distance as well. We disagree with the reviewer who commented on the road noise. We didn’t have any issues!
