Beautiful, clean home. We were initially surprised that the host lived next door, but later learned this is required by Lake Tahoe vacation rental regulations. She stopped by once to share the Wi-Fi info, was very kind, and we had complete privacy for the rest of our stay.

RENTER BEWARE!!! OWNER LIVES ON SITE!!!!

I recently stayed at this property with my two children. THE OWNER LIVES ON PROPERTY!!!! This is not disclosed in the posting and was completely unknown to me until I arrived and saw a car parked in the driveway. I was prepared to call the owner to alert her someone was parked in her driveway. I then entered the home and began looking for the rooms. Much to my alarm and surprise I tried to open a locked door which was then answered by THE OWNER!!! I was so confused and then at that point trapped with no where to stay and unable to cancel and be refunded. In addition to this she entered the home while we were gone, which was obvious as the window and door to the outside were left open. Our trip was completely tainted by the lack of privacy and invasion of our space. This is not an inexpensive stay. I tried to address this concern with VRBO and the owner to no resolution. Save some money and stay at a hotel where you are guaranteed to not have an unexpected roommate. The owner and VRBO should be ashamed of themselves. Awful!

My family and I have booked through VRBO multiple times in the past and we never had an issue with the rentals until we booked this place. These were the issues we experienced while staying at this property: The owner of the house walked into the kitchen as we were unpacking leaving us to question if she comes in whenever she feels like it. (She lives on site in a studio attached to the house). 2) This house is not walking distance to Heavenly Village or the lake (unless you plan to walk a minimum of 20-30 minutes). 3) We booked this house during the VRBO outage meaning we possibly didn’t get charged taxes on the house. I contacted the host at least a month prior to our stay to verify and she said we paid in full. However, on our second night staying, the host messaged me as we were at the house that we owed another $191 and that it was VRBOs fault, even though I had verified with her that we were paid in full. This along with the fact that she just walked in to the house while we were there, made us so uncomfortable that we left a day early from our trip. Thankfully, VRBO did not make us pay that since we had proof saying we were paid in full, but I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Hello Hanna, we are sincerely sorry for the issue that effected both you and the owner regarding VRBO’s taxes/fee billing. As you are aware there was an outage with VRBO during the time of your booking with them and the information you were provided at the time from the owner regarding taxes/fees originally being charged came directly from VRBO. During the VRBO outage the owner could not see the breakdown of that information, so she had to contact VRBO to confirm with them when you had made you initial inquiry. The request you got for the taxed to be paid may show it was from the owner, but in fact it was initiated by VRBO when they realized the taxes/fees had not been charged or paid. it was just as much of a shock to the owner as it seems it was for you as well, however taking your frustration’s with VRBO out on the owner or the property by giving a negative review is not professional. With regards to the description of the property being with in walking distance of Heavenly or lake access at Ski Run Marina & Beach, it does state they are both a 15 to 20 min walk but that is normal acceptable distance for walking. Sorry that you felt this walk was too far for you, but we have never had any other quest complain about the walk. This property is a hosted rental as is required by law in South Lake Tahoe for any vacation rentals not within the Hwy 50 corridor. This information is listed in several areas on the property link including the main description page. The owner has a separate studio with its own entrance that does not affect the main rental, and the only shared space is the driveway and the laundry area. Regarding your statement that the owner just walked into the kitchen when you arrived is a false statement. The owner takes great pride in respecting any guest(s) privacy who stay at the property and is only there to greet guest(s) upon arrival and provide any assistance if needed or requested. After looking back at the common area security cameras for the property, the camera facing the back door off the common area where the kitchen can be accessed only shows owner only going over to introduce herself to you and your family and she never enters the rental at that time or at any time during your stay. Short Getaway in Tahoe

This was the first time for our family to come up to Tahoe in the summer and what a great weekend. The house is wonderful; awesome location within walking distance of the lake, but just far enough to be quiet and away from the hustle and noise so you really feel like your ‘in the woods’. Great outdoor space and deck for relaxing and enjoying your morning coffee or evening bbq. The home is clean and stylish - very warm with everything you need for a great getaway. Suzanne is a great communicator and easy to work with, making sure all our questions were answered and we felt welcomed. Lovely time - thank you!
