Dear Teresa, First and foremost, I would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment you experienced during your stay at our vacation home in South Padre Island. It's crucial for us that every guest has a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We wish you would have mentioned any cleaning concerns you had upon arrival or during your stay as we would have gladly sent the cleaners back to correct it immediately. Unfortunately since you didn’t mention anything about it before this review, we weren't able to address it for your satisfaction. We have a great cleaning team and usually we get great compliments about how clean the property is, so we do apologize if we missed the mark on this clean and will make sure to address it with our team. Regarding the broken blinds - we recently hosted a guest with a dog that broke a few blinds. We ordered new ones as soon as we discovered it and were waiting for the new custom blinds to be delivered as those are cut to size. When you mentioned it we replied that we are aware of it and plan to replace after you check out (which we already did). I hope you understand that non-urgent matters such as this are addressed but not always at that moment. Same thing about the floor panel in the kitchen which was caused by water leaking from the fridge. We already ordered a box of the flooring to be replaced and scheduled it to be fixed between guests check-ins. We placed a temporary fix tape over it until this can be done. The AC filters are replaced regularly. Due to nearby road work the city is performing, the AC filters catch a lot more dust, especially guests leaving doors and windows open which let more dust in the house from the outside. We asked our professional cleaning service to increase the rate the filters are changed for the duration of the roadwork project. We deeply regret that our initial response did not satisfy you. I assure you, it was never our intention to be dismissive of the issues you raised. Based on the way you wrote the message, our understanding is that you were just notifying us of things you noticed so you won’t get blamed for causing them. You did say you were having a great time and we didn’t think you would want to be disturbed during your vacation for us to fix these non-urgent matters. We value the feedback you've provided, as it helps us improve and provide a better experience for future guests. We will be taking measures to ensure our communication with guests is more transparent, especially when there are known issues with the property.
