The Surfing Turtle is an upscale multi-level townhome in the Meridian Complex located on 11th St. This is a great place to bring family and friends in close proximity to the beach and town. *No Long-Term Rentals*
The first floor features a private master suite (BR1) made up of a Queen bed, nightstands, a chest for your beach attire, a closet, and a wall-mounted Tv with Roku service to catch up on your favorite streaming series or movies by logging into your own account. The master bathroom will leave a lasting impression with a custom wood vanity with double raised bowls, a large pebble and tile shower with two rain heads, a bench, and a glass door.
The second level is made for entertaining. There you will find the open and inviting living/ dining/ kitchen area. Gather around the TV with cable service while sitting on the plush couch with a chaise, a large chair, and an ottoman. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare fresh meals with spacious granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a Keurig, dishes, basic pots, pans, and utensils. Dine at the table with chairs and bench seating to accommodate six. Take your morning coffee out to the front balcony and relax on the outdoor seating while taking in a Port A sunrise. For your convenience, a half bath serves this floor as well as a full-size washer and dryer to use during your stay.
Venture up to the third level to the remaining bedrooms. The first guest room (BR2) contains a Queen bed, nightstands, dresser, closet, matching corner chair, and a wall-mounted TV with Roku service. The second guest bedroom (BR3) is comprised of a Queen bed, bunk bed, nightstands, closet, wall-mounted TV with Roku service, and a quaint sitting area by the large windows and doors to the platform terrace. These two bedrooms share an adjoining bathroom with double vanities, separate from the tub/shower so guests can get ready, freshen up and shower without intruding on the privacy of the others. Enjoy your next vacation getaway at The Surfing Turtle, tastefully furnished with tortoise and island life décor carried throughout.
Just a short walk two homes down, sit in the shared pool to cool off, or rest your tired body in the hot tub after a busy day around town. This condo is, conveniently located 0.5 miles to the beach, 0.8 miles to the nearest restaurant, and 1.5 miles to shopping and nightlife.

A short walk to the beach

Beautiful three story condo with a great layout. Being able to walk to the beach in minutes was so convenient. We will definitely keep this property on the list for repeat rentals.

Great location and plenty of space for a family of five.

We had a great time! The communication was super easy and the condo beds were super comfy. The neighborhood is conveniently located near the beach, places to eat and a golf cart rental. Would absolutely recommend to stay there! We did have a difficult time connecting to the internet but other than that we had a wonderful visit to the cozy beach town or Port A.

Very nice beach condo

This is a very nice pet friendly beach condo. We had plenty of room for the 6 of us and our dog. The kids really enjoyed the on site pool. Be aware that a full size truck or SUV won’t fit I. The garage, but there is additional parking on site, so that wasn’t a problem. Would definitely stay here again.

22 Port A getaway

It was a great place to stay with plenty of room. The communication with the property manger was impeccable and they responded right away. Only issue I had was the garage was not big enough to fit my Yukon. I did have outside parking in front with no problems.

Nice place close to the beach

This property was nice for a group of 8. It’s golf cart friendly and has all the amenities you need. The only problem we had was there is only 2 car parking which caused us some issues but the property was very clear on this so it wasn’t a surprise. But if you need a place with a bit more parking for a large group this wouldn’t be the place. The pool and hot tub are maybe 50 feet away. Both were clean and very rarely was it crowded. I would also mention this is a 3 story property so if you aren’t ok with stairs you should pass on this property. My group would definitely stay here again.

Good experience overall, we got there in a midsize SUV and didn’t fit in the garage

Nice hideaway close to the beach

This condo unit was clean and nicely organized. The close proximity to beach access was a huge plus. The community pool was perfect for cooling off after a day at the beach. Although the unit allows pets, there is no pet friendly area at the complex whch required us to walk our dogs to an empty lot near by to releive themselves. This unit also did not have a functional barbecue which sucks when our dinner menu relied on one. We used the cast iron skillet and managed to set off the smoke detectors. Also, there are no smart TVs in the living room or primary bedroom amd no Roku device. Have fun reading the book to figure out how to manage the 4 remotes for the unsmart TV. Beach accessories were mostly broken and were in a rubish pile in the garage.

Spring Break week

This place was within 2 blocks from the beach which was really convenient. We enjoyed the house and being so close to everything! The house could have been cleaner on arrival. You need to make sure to bring trash bags. They leave the bear minimum for your stay and we had zero trash bags.There are no extra amenities so Make sure to pack trash bags, some laundry pods, etc… Parking was a nightmare. You have one spot and it is VERY tight. We had to squeeze in and out of our car and it was amazing we didn’t hit anyone..:: they need to fix the parking situation. We enjoyed our stay here minus the stressors with the parking situation.

A Pleasant Break

Property is good! Couldn’t give a 5 star because of some minor details. 1. Parking tight 2. Grandchild saw old clothes and Cheetos under the bed. I sent pictures. Cleaners didn’t do a good job. 3. Downstairs bathroom shower hard to control temp 4. Kitchen sink water pressure low 5. Garage beach toys disorganized. Tried to leave it better. Dining chair missing but found it broken in the garage. In general I’m satisfied but these things can make it better.

As stated in our listing, there is parking available for two vehicles—one in the driveway and one in the garage. We sincerely apologize for the oversight by our cleaning team regarding the old clothes and Cheetos found under the bed. Three floors of a great place

The second level, open living/kitchen concept was great as the primary hang out. Having older kiddos on the 3rd floor bedrooms gave them freedom and space away from the adults room on the bottom. Nicely decorated in a great location for ease of public beach access. Golf carts make getting into town accessible and easy. Only drawbacks are the hot water heater was not hot enough for dishes to be cleaned properly or for very comfortable showers. Some dishes prior to arrival were not the cleanest (due to the lack of hot water I’m sure.) Also the dryer took forever to dry the towels. The parking is also very tight for big cars. Please note that the Meridian community has no green space for pets to use facilities. This is no fault of the condo, but of the development. We had to cart our small pups to open green space, but we’re grateful they allowed our dogs there. All these are truly small drawbacks to a great space in a great location. There were stains on the carpet and towels smelled like vomit. Pictures were sent to the property owners shortly after checking in.The property owners did bring some clean towels, but we had a more difficult time get the carpets clean. The carpet was eventually cleaned, however, these are unacceptable conditions for anyone to check-in.

Upon inspection, they did not note any odor with the existing linens. There was a minor spot on the carpet, which was promptly addressed and cleaned during the visit.
