Great place! So close to the ocean and the Redwoods. We loved our stay and would stay here again. Very clean and decorated so cute! Our host was very accommodating too.

This was a great place for us to stay on our vacation to see redwood parks. It’s a well-designed house in a quiet neighborhood. It has good living spaces and new furniture and appliances. It was well supplied in the kitchen, bath and bedroom, and was very clean. We had a comfortable stay and would return to stay here again.

The house was very clean and I loved the decorations in the house. It truly feels like a beach house. The beach and hiking trails are very close to this rental house.
We enjoyed our vrbo stay so much. The home has been decorated with some nice art with an octopus and redwood theme. Very light and peaceful with plenty of kitchen ware and pots and pans. Loved the decor of both bedrooms and the rest of the home. Close to beach and Jedediah Smith redwood Park. Would definitely stay again. We saw herds of elk very close by on multiple days. The barbecue grills were very rusted so they need a thorough cleaning or replacing. Other than that it did not disappoint.
Mixed review. The host didn't leave me their phone number. So when the city cut off the water because of a local issue I had no idea what was going on, couldn't contact my host, and spent 20 min on the phone with VRBO. That sucked.
The hosts did reply but they really should include the number in advance.
Other Smaller Stuff:
* The doors all creaked. It was impossible to move around quietly after the kids were asleep.
* They left 2 keurig coffee cups for 3 adults, 3 nights... I asked for more but they didn't have them.
Overall it is a beautiful place and worked well for our goals. I do wish these smaller things were addressed.

About the host
Hosted by Katelyn Detweiler
Katelyn earned a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies with a concentration in ecology and conservation at Southern Oregon University. Her first job out of college was a seasonal botany position in Redwood National Park where she fell in love with the plants, wildlife and breathtaking views in the region. Katelyn now works as a restoration project manager for The Freshwater Trust where she designs and implements streamside restoration projects to ensure ecosystems remain healthy and thriving.
When not enjoying time on the coast, Katelyn can be found tending to her small farm, nurturing a bountiful garden, and trail riding her horse. She also enjoys hiking and wildflower hunting in the Klamath Siskiyous, and swimming in the Smith River amongst the mighty redwoods. She is always seeking new ways to connect with and protect the natural world.
Katelyn's perfect day on the coast is waking up for a hike in the redwoods, getting lunch at a local seafood restuarant and surfing South Beach!
