We booked this property for a long awaited family gathering. I was able to communicate with the hostess before our booking date and she was very gracious and able to help me with my questions. Everyone loved the beachfront and this home. The home was very welcoming and inviting. The sunrises were amazing and the shoreline beautiful. We truly enjoyed the space and the openness of the floor plan. We hope to repeat our visit next year, and everyone is looking forward to it..

We had a great week! The kitchen is very large and has everything you would need. Morning coffee on the bayside porch was heavenly! Will come again, hopefully! Thank you so much for one of our best vacation weeks!

Beautiful view of the Chesapeake from the porch. Plenty of chairs to sit on the beach with. Host responds immediately with any questions. Must take paper towels, napkins, kitchen garbage bags, tinfoil, tissues etc. We had a problem with biting black flies, I don’t know if it is the entire summer season. Worse on more humid days. We swept the floors and vacuumed the rugs before we left as instructed but when we arrived we had rooms that the floors had not been swept, We found some lost items under beds when sweeping up. The number of bathrooms were great for a large family group. Kitchen had lots of pots, pans, dishes etc. Best part was the private beach and water, enjoyed it every day.

Absolutely gorgeous location and private beach was such a treat! Perfect for small kids and big kids, the bigger kids loved the paddle boats/surfboards! Fair warning, the mosquitos are abnormally horrendous, so unless you’re at the beach, you cannot be outside. Biting flies at the beach were terrible, as well, unless the winds were blowing. The house seems mostly well cared for and pretty much everything you need, all the beds were SUPER comfortable! I added a 9x13 glass baking pan to the kitchen inventory and a pastry cutter, but mostly everything you need is there. Owner was very responsive and promptly reimbursed me for the Keurig that needed replacement. The margarita machine is NOT usable, but we made do with the ninja. The downstairs master bathroom had a lot of bugs getting in through the window that is taped up and we had a pile of bugs in the sink every morning, as well as spiders/webs in the ceiling corners throughout the home, and ants overwhelming the kitchen, so some pest control could be in order. The master bedroom screen door was blown out and we I taped it up as a temp fix. Overall, the location and the home were stunning, we were grateful for the memories made and for the owner being very responsive!

This was our third trip to this house.....we love the location, it is private and picturesque...we got to see the bald eagles again!!!!!! WE love the 30 second walk to the beach and the calm water of the bay! The local environment is also beautiful...especially the towns of White Stone and Kilmarnock and the local marinas. The home is beautiful. WE hope to return!

Glad you enjoyed your stay. It’s difficult to determine paper products needs for various size groups so we provide TP in each bathroom, and a trash bag to get you started. As noted in the description families need to plan for their paper needs beyond the starter set.

The perfect place for us

This was the second year in a row we have stayed here, and we absolutely loved it! The house was clean and smelled so fresh when we arrived, and the location is so beautiful. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, and the fishing was fantastic. Diane is a wonderful host, and we hope to stay here again in the future!

We had a wonderful stay! The location of the property is private and there is plenty to do for everyone of all ages. The fishing and crabbing kept everyone entertained. Highly recommended for unplugging and having time together!

Relaxing weekend getaway

Perfect weekend getaway for our family! The views were spectacular and the water was lovely. With young kids, I especially loved how shallow the water was all the way out to the rock barriers. We even saw 2 pods of dolphins our last morning there. Highly recommend this house!

Relaxing by the water
