Sit in rocking chairs next to the stone fire pit while taking in a majestic lake view. Spend time on hiking trails, or fishing for bass and crappie during your stay, (GA State Species Limits Apply). Enjoy the use of 2-Canoes or 4-kayaks on the 12.5 acre private lake.

The dinning room is perfect for family-style meals with it's 16' farm table designed to accommodate small groups or families.

Spend time on the leather couches in the family room while watching TV or enjoying a fire in the wood burning fire place.

Winding Creek Lodge is designed to accommodate family gatherings, small events less than 25 ppl, corporate retreats, or those looking for a place to escape from the world.

The home was amazing, the lake amazing, the amenities were perfect. Communication with the host was wonderful prior to our arrival. I was disappointed that we were not advised in advance that the toilet in the master bedroom was out of order. This was very problematic and a great inconvenience for the elderly handicapped guests sharing that room.

We had the most perfect 5 day stay at Winding Creek Lodge as we hosted the groomsmen and the Rehearsal Dinner for our son’s wedding. The property was beautiful, relaxing, and functioned so well for our stay and our event. The front porch held seven 60 inch tables easily, a beautiful breeze off of the lake kept everyone cool and the nearby play set kept the littles entertained and their loved ones close. The lodge was beautiful and elegant. The large central table was a perfect serving area for the food and there were two side buffets for drinks and desserts. The bridesmaids and groomsmen paddled, fished (and caught huge bass!) and relaxed and we spent hours sitting in the rockers around the fire pit. It was magical! The only things I would change is that I wish I had turned on the parking lot lights for our guests as they left, and we didn’t see the remotes for some of the ceiling fans on the porch sides. I am so glad that we added days on the front and the back of our trip. I wish we could do it all again.

Our stay

We got married over our stay and the whole wedding party stayed with us to make it easier on everyone. Sarah is a awesome host, very easy to talk with and made sure you are taken care of. The house was very nice and so close to our venue which made it perfect for our weekend.
