Great family vacation

The location and property were great! We had access to both Yellowstone and Teton national parks, and the lodge was a comfortable gathering place. With 20 of us there, we could have used one extra bathroom from time to time . . .but otherwise the property was wonderful.

Hosts Cancelled on the Morning We Were Supposed to Stay

At 12:38 pm on the day we were supposed to check in, the host messaged: "My deepest apologies, but we’ve been experiencing a bit of a crisis with our pipes and flooding at our cabin these last couple of weeks. We thought we had the problem fixed/repaired, but just arrived to prep and found our basement had flooded again despite the repairs we’ve had done. Because it’s been an ongoing situation these last couple of weeks, we’re actually going to have to shut down our rental until we can determine a permanent fix for this issue. Again, my deepest apologies; I will issue you a full refund here shortly. I’ve also found several alternative cabins in the area that are available for the dates of your trip and that have similar prices and accommodations; would you like me to send those your way?" Being inside Yellowstone National Park and having almost no cell service, it was extremely difficult to navigate this issue, ESPECIALLY finding out the same day. I'd hope the host checks in with their listing more than a day in advance of a guest's stay if there have been prior issues.

Island Park

Beautiful location. Wrap around porch with rocking chairs for watching sunsets. Amazing great room plenty of sitting and large kitchen. Beds comfortable and cabin well stocked. Gorgeous area to explore. Owner always available if needed. Quiet and relaxing with so much to do at the reservoir. Don’t miss out on this lovely home!

This is a fantastic house for a large group. We had 12 people ages 7-55 and everyone had a great time. The space is set up nicely and everything you need is there. Very well taken care of, and very clean. Beds are comfortable and there is a bedroom for everyone. Texting is a great way to communicate with host; very quick response. He even went out of his way to check the inventory of the little grocery store nearby for us. You'll enjoy staying here....we wished we could have had another day just to stay at the house.

Our family *loves* the outdoors; the convenience of having a lodge type cabin built with the capacity to host all of our closest friends & family, and within a quick 20 minute drive to the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, can't be beat! Old Faithful Lodge is also located just down the road from our family's second smaller cabin, Bluestone Bungalow, so when we're utilizing both it's easy for groups of 30+ to comfortably get together in the same area while still enjoying their space.

Whether you're soaking the day's aches and pains away out under the stars in the hot tub, enjoying a drink out on the wrap around porch, cuddled up watching a movie on one of the several available smart TVs, or catching up at dinner around the large granite kitchen island, you will find plenty to keep your whole group entertained and occupied during your stay! You may even find you have time a the end of the day to join in on some friendly competition; who will take the crown and become that night's King/Queen of shuffleboard, the pinball machine, or even of the arcade? After exploring the geysers and hot pots of Yellowstone all day, the adventure will continue for you within the comfort of Old Faithful Lodge.
