Mike was so kind to help us print a form for Yellowstone. He answered texts and calls in a timely manner. We will probably stay here again. Perfect for family reunions and very clean.
We had a great stay with our extended family, enough bedrooms for 7 couples. Our kids slept in sleeping beds on couches. The property manager was very responsive and kind to share fishing tips. My son loved fishing at the stocked pond about 15 minutes from the cabin. Beds upstairs were comfortable. The king bed in the master is a bit on the soft side, so my brother and his wife slept on the double bed in the master bedroom. The kitchen was very well stocked, not just with pots and bowls, but with condiments and some kitchen staples. Plenty of parking for 7 vehicles. Just up the road from beautiful river access, walking distance to carry a small canoe.
This property was home to our family of 26 for a lovely stay of 4 nights.
Plenty of room for all of us to relax and have fun. We enjoyed the long back porch for morning and evening visiting and the kids loved the upstairs game activities.
Very close to to the West entrance of Yellowstone.
That cabin was very spacious, well kept sand felt like home. Is was within driving distance to the park. It was close to big springs, for floating the river. I would recommend staying here for you family’s vacation.
We have stayed at this cabin twice now. It is a beautiful place. It has easily become our favorite place to be over Christmas! It does need some maintenance and deep cleaning done but beside that we love the cabin!
The house was perfect for our family reunion in Yellowstone. The distribution of rooms and bathrooms made it very easy to accommodate our large group. The kitchen was very well stocked and only a bit short on juice and wine glasses. We had an amazing time there. The house is near a great Mexican Restaurant, a decent grocery store and canoe, ATB rental place. Overall, it was a beautiful home for our stay. Loved the fire pit that was well stocked with firewood.
The Moose Hoose was a great property for our family reunion. It was close to the river, but not too close to have little children concerns. We floated the river (Henry's Fork of the Snake River) and took our kayaks and paddle boards out a short walk away to the cabin. All of our children made comment that the cabin was great and what a neat property it was. The kitchen, deck and open spaces worked out well for being together and having plenty of room for everyone to have a good time.
We visited Island Park for a family vacation. We had 4 children and and 11 grandchildren totaling 21 of us. The accommodations were perfect! Seven bedrooms and 5 baths gave everyone their own space and the river was a short walk to its banks. The host was awesome. He was very prompt to answer our questions and help with some concerns.
We would love to returnI
Overall—great time with family and facility served us well. Had a couple of issues but property manager handled quickly. Suggestions: not enough linens for air mattresses, could have used more towels and they needed to be updated. We enjoyed our stay and family room was large enough for our family of 26, and our evening activities.
Wonderful in every way! The property manager was so friendly and gave us some great advice and suggestions. He even provided us cat food to feed the fish with!
My family of 15 adults gather once a year to connect with each other and see a new area of the country. This home was wonderful. The kitchen was fully stocked. The house layout insures no one has to wait for a bathroom. Having 2 laundry facilities was helpful as we all packed light. We would all recommend this home for future stays.
Great value compared to any others in the area. Island Park location feels secluded but still near river, food and gas. Henry’s Fork just a short walk away and lots of atv and biking trails. Claudia the owner and Mike the care taker were extremely kind and such a pleasure to work with. The entire clan wants to come again next year but stay longer. Save us room!
We held our family reunion in the lodge. It was perfect for 28 people from age 2 to 72. The lodge had the space we needed with comfortable beds and Jack and Jill bathrooms. We had room for meal preparation and activities. The kitchen’s two refrigerators and equipment made it easy to fill all the empty stomachs. There is no air conditioning but with the ceiling fans it was tolerable for the one warm day in Island Park. The next two days the temperature cooled and it was pleasant in the lodge. The air hockey and foosball tables are well used but still entertained the teens. We would stay again.
The house was great, large enough for the 18 of us. Plenty of space, and rooms. It is a beautiful log home close to the river if you want to fish or have children that want to swim. The manager was extremely helpful and gave some great suggestion for things to do and see.
The only bad comments I have are that a love seat and couch in the upper loft are both missing a chair back. That really needs to be fixed. There are some wiring problems in the kitchen that you can only use one electrical item at a time on each wall. That is no biggie though.
All in all, we would stay there again!
Our group of 16 enjoyed the space we had at Moose Hoose. A little air hockey and foosball were enjoyed after Yellowstone. We looked for moose in the spring water near the house, but we weren't lucky. A small note of items that are not provided: shower soap and hair products. It wasn't an issue for us, but if you don't travel with your own shampoo, please bring some. Your large group will love the space this home provides for everyone to be together or find their alone time spot. Yes, it is approximately a half hour from the West Yellowstone Entrance. Also, have your bug spray for the mosquitos. Enjoy your visit!

Excellent property!
We enjoyed our stay at the "Moose Hoose". The house had ample room for our group of nineteen. We were very impressed with the amenities. There were lots of dishes, pots and pans, and everything we needed to cook. We loved the game cupboard, library, and toy box. Everything was perfect. Thank you for making this wonderful property available to us. We walked to the "Mack's Inn Playhouse" (1 block away) and enjoyed the entertainment so much. We would highly recommend the playhouse for future guests. The property manager was there to check us in and came to check on us during our stay. He was very helpful.
The cabin was huge and was stocked with everything we needed. We did have an issue with a bed collapsing in the middle of the night but the property manager was very quick to fix it. The only other thing that needs to be fixed is the half bathroom door knob. If you lock it , it’s very hard to get open and my 4 year old granddaughter used the bathroom and couldn’t get out. She was very upset. Finally we found a key that opened it from the outside. Also the door leading out to the deck is very hard to open and the handle kept coming off. But for the most part we really enjoyed it and the property manager was the best.
We had 20 family members stay at the Moose Hoose for a family reunion at Yellowstone and had a great time! The kitchen was terrific, everything was labeled and for a house of people who love to cook, they had it covered! (If there could be ad addition of a nonstick pan that works with the induction burner for the next guests, I know they'd appreciate it for eggs :). The kids could have stayed in the house most of the time playing in the loft area and with the foosball and air hockey table, so much fun! The bathrooms could use some updating and some of the mattresses were ready for replacement (upstairs, in the bedroom closest to the laundry room), but overall it was a lovely house and a great stay! Also, just an FYI, this has nothing to do with the house itself, but the mosquitoes were at a 10 at this spot, definitely bring that bug spray! We were not inclined to grill because of them. Thank you for a great time, Moose Hoose and Yellowstone!
