A Challenging Experience!Our check-in went fairly smooth. As the afternoon ended, the blinds were broken and would not cover the windows. The property manager said to use the curtains, new blinds had been ordered in February and they woud be installed in August. The screen doors was off the track and broken. It needed to be replaced and fixed and it was not done. The pillows on the bed smelled bad due to the sweat from other vacationers. The property manager bought us new pillows. The drain in the shower/bathtub drained excessively slow resulting in 3 - 4 inches of water when you were showering. The knives were super dull even though we were warned they were super sharp. They were no tongs for cooking dinner. The smoke detector was hanging out of the wall in the hall, The fan in the bedroom needed to be replaced due to the noise and old bearings. The thermostat needed to be turned to 80 degrees for the heat to come on. The pots were old and needed to be replaced. We kept the property manager informed of all of these issues and during our stay the only issue that was resolved were the pillows. She informed us she would be meeting with the property manager the day before we checked out to see what we could do to make it right. We still have not heard back from her. In closing, it has a good location and also be ready to climb up and down stairs to the three different levels.

As reflected in our reviews for this and our other properties, your experience was not typical, and we're sorry your stay did not meet expectations. The owner was already aware of the broken blinds and had installed curtains as a temporary solution while waiting for the new blinds to arrive and be installed. Regarding the bedroom fan, we offered to have our caretaker return to inspect and address it, but that follow-up visit was declined. The slow-draining tub was not brought to our attention until the day before your departure, leaving very little opportunity to investigate and resolve it before your stay ended. Your visit took place during the region's busiest event, when demand and nightly rates are at their highest. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the property's location, which is one of its most sought-after features for guests wanting easy access to both the village and the IRONMAN racecourse. After your departure, we made several attempts to discuss your experience but were unfortunately unable to reach you. Because the owner genuinely cares about guest satisfaction, a $500 refund was proactively issued to your credit card before your review was posted. Thank you again for bringing these concerns to our attention. Your feedback has helped us improve the property for future guests, and we appreciate the opportunity to do better.

Perfect location for IM Lake Placid

We loved being close to town and being able to walk to everything. Enjoyed our morning walks around mirror Lake and easy access to shops and restaurants. The complex is perfectly positioned for Ironman race day. Lots of accommodation well laid out, with a decently equipped kitchen and well stocked with sheets and towels. The place could have used a more thorough cleaning before our arrival.
