Great Golfing Group Location

Place had 9 useable beds for 1 adult each. More sleeping available if you share beds. My group had 8 older males so place was perfect for our golf adventure. Played 3 local courses including twice at American Dunes. What a great course on its own but I don't believe you'll find a more patriotic course in all of golf. House had all the amenities that a group of 8 would want. Also, some of my group even fished off the private dock. Kayaks weren't used but recommended for the more serious fishermen. No issues which is always great when using a rental. Host is great and available promptly when needed before and during our stay. If we're in the Grand Haven area again, we'll definitely book this place.

Beautiful home, but waterfront needs work

Home is accurately pictured and described. New game garage is beautiful but lacking bicycles, games for little kids such as sand toys, or even a ball for the basketball net. I went out and purchased these things as we had children ranging in ages from two to 17. Also the waterfront has not been kept up and is overgrown with seaweed and weeds and grass. None of the children wanted to swim and didn't even feel comfortable jumping off the end of the brand new dock as there was a pole from the old dock they could have been injured on. I had to ask the owners to deliver a lake rake so I could work on the lakefront to try and get it so the littles could swim. The lake rake arrived halfway through our vacation, so we paid top dollar to get waterfront with a beach and couldn't use it until the last 2 days. They installed an aerator to try and help but it wasn't working either. The new dock is beautiful which we tied up a couple of jet skis to. Backing boat trailer down into this property is nearly impossible with the one lane road, it can be done but a caution to all boat owners. House on channel in no wake area and you don't have to worry about boat once it's tied up which is also very nice. The kitchen lacked amenities to host 14 people in the home for meals. No working can opener, no serving trays or bowls to serve large meals. Tons of fire wood large logs provided, but no axe to make starter pieces and large logs wouldn't burn. Had to borrow ax. Owner is responsive

Great visit to Spring Lake...again

We've stayed at this property 3 times and have a blast each time. The property is amazing. The swimming just off their beach isn't the best due to seaweed, but a quick 50' swim/kayak off the end of the dock is perfect for swimming and floating in the bayou. We will be back again for sure! The area is awesome with Grand Haven nearby as well several beaches within a 10 min drive. The renovated garage area is beautiful and we spent probably as much time there as we did inside the house!!

The house was updated and very comfortable. The remodeled garage was used often. A great entertainment area for kids and adults. The hosts were awesome. We enjoyed being there.

Memorial day weekend

Our group of friends had a great time at this property. The kitchen is well supplied with nice appliances, knife set and pots. The patio chairs and fire pit are amazing with well stocked wood. The game room/garage was not complete during our stay, although missed there was still so much to do without it. The host always was willing to help out with anything we might needed. Overall great stay and already talked about doing it again!

Hello! My husband, Robert, and I are both born and raised Michiganders. We are both currently in Grad School in New Jersey but always have our hearts in West Michigan. When an opportunity came along to buy an established VRBO property from Jo Beth and Michael Earl, we jumped at it! We've kept all the wonderful furniture and fixtures, including the huge, dining table that previous owners made by hand as well all the games, activities, and bikes in the Game Garage. Personally, we are parents to our two year old son and two dogs. We love spending time with family, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, eating good food! We hope to welcome you to our place!!!

Why they chose this property

One of the very few properties directly on Spring Lake that can accommodate up to 12 people (9 adults and 4 kids) with a long floating dock so you can bring your own boat or rent one locally. Truly a home away from home. Recently updated with new paint and flooring, new linens and towels.

Newly remodeled Game Garage with Home Theatre system and climate control (completed June 2023), brand new floating dock (completed May 2023), access to kayaks and paddle-boards, and more. The perfect place to create new memories with your friends and family!
