Beautiful home, centrally located. Strange smell when we first arrived but that went away with the use of the fans. The house has everything we needed. We would stay there again.
Wonderfully located and beautiful St Ignace retreat!
We (4 adults in the same family) stayed at The Red Pome in mid-June 2025 and went to Mackinac Island for the Lilac Festival. This property is beautiful -- clean, thoughtfully decorated, and extremely comfortable. Highly recommended! The location (on a quiet street but still close to downtown St Ignace) is perfect.PLUS there was a gorgeous lilac bush in bloom in the back yard :)
Hands down the cleanest home we have ever rented as our home away from home. As someone who loves to cook (even on vacation) I appreciated the well stocked kitchen and gas stove. You had all the pans I needed and more. Loved the front porch too.
Very welcoming. We felt at home from the moment we stepped into the house. Very clean. Everything we needed was available and so much more. We had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely stay again.
Everything was 100% perfect. Correspondence with mgnt company, to check in, to decor and comfort of the house. Everything we needed was provided and it was a delightful place to unwind and enjoy. The surrounding beauty made it a perfect central location for all the sites!
We loved the house and the location! The house was so clean, had everything we needed, and the beds were great. The ferry is close which made it very convenient for us to visit the island. We’d run all day and play games and drink wine at night. It was the perfect trip. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Home was clean & nicely decorated. Appreciated the updated bathrooms, the beautiful front & backyard deck, with seating benches & pillows! Could use curtains in 2nd bathroom for privacy & for security, fix large gap, in the bedroom window, which accommodates the a/c unit, window can be easily opened, too. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.
The only real complaint we had was the smell when we walked in,.it smelled like varnish and was overwhelming, not sure if it had been closed up all winter? We opened the windows during the day when we were gone and that seemed to help
The cabin was great and accommodating to our needs for the week! The location could not have been better either. The only problem we encountered was it being so hot inside. The AC is in one of the bedrooms so the rest of the house stays pretty hot, especially the bedroom with the two beds. Despite having windows open, fans running constantly, and keeping all doors to bedrooms open, it still was incredibly hot. Other than that, the place was great. Definitely bring extra trash bags because only one is provided and the trash can is not very big to hold a lot of trash.

Overall a decent place with potentialGood——-Centralized quiet location in a friendly neighborhood. Easy access and nice layoutBad——Tv does not access apps except Netflix. Had to use my phone to stream. Floors were dirty and the house dusty. Dog hair all overUgly—-Showed up and there was still laundry in the dryer. Management did not answer their phone even once. Had to leave a message and their call center could not help us. They never responded to the dirty house. You think they would have sent someone to check. We will not stay again until management improves and they actually respond to the filthy mess Water pressure was good though.
The Red Pine was very nice, clean, cozy amd comfortable- we had everything we needed during our stay. Our time in St Ignace wA wonderful except we needed more information on how to work the TV. Also not sure if fireplace worked. No big deal because we were out and about but would be nice if thats something you're interested in having. We had a minor issue that we needed to contact the host about and she answered right away. We loved the peace and quiet the red pine offered- we enjoyed sitting around the fire one night too. A great time was had by all! We definitely recommend this place and will be back! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at the red pine. Our vacation started with a hiccup. We arrived late in the night and discovered we didnt have the access code for the property. We were provided with a wrong access code and ended up sleeping in a hotel. The host was apologetic and refunded the one night. We got situated in the property next day. The house is well maintained and close to downtown and other amenities. The house doesnt have a dishwasher. I recommend getting one as its convenient. The property managers are slow in responding. We had to wait hours before a response. The instructions specially for wifi password was incorrect.
