The house is in a lovely setting on the bay. The beach is a rocky beach, not really good for children. The front porch is beautiful. Overlooking the beautiful bay.
Lovely old house with amazing views of the bay. Great place to walk, bike or just hang out. My husband and I had all our adult children with us and there was plenty of room to work or relax. Our favorite aspects of this gracious home were the front porch, outdoor shower, many window water views and nearby Boston Harbor ferry and sunsets to watch. The owners were very friendly and kept great communication. We look forward to returning.
The picture online is exact to the house. The house sits on a deadend street but quite a bit of traffic from people launching boats kayaks and such. There is an ocean wall in front of the house with a ladder to get you down to the water and wood float. There is access to the beach just down the street and is mostly rocks of all sizes. We did have to deal with a few ants but not a big deal. There is no air conditioning but on most nights the house stayed fairly cool. One night we had to put window ac in for our daughter. This is an 1800’s Victorian home with wood floors and very steep staircase. We had an incident with the steps so be very cautious! All bedrooms are upstairs so climbing steps will be necessary unless want to sleep on one of the couches. The view from the home was great! Sit in front porch and watch all boats go by…the moon shining on the water was stunning…the ferry is a short drive from the house and you can be in Boston in 25 minutes. By car 60+ minutes
Spectacular location, agreeable friendly hosts, well-stocked kitchen, convenient bathroom toiletries, comfortable with cross breeze via lots of windows, lovely porch, and a wisteria-draped outdoor shower: overall a a thoroughly enjoyable stay!
Highly recommended!
