Lovely Chic 1 bedroom was not “CHIC”. Pros: 1. Location was excellent;2. Neighbors in complex were friendly;3. Stacking washer/driver was convenient;4. Mattress was comfortable; and5. On street parking permit worked perfectly.Cons: 1. Pathway to unit door was not well maintained;2. Pathway was directly adjacent to an active service alley with on-going activity from garbage trucks, delivery trucks and outdoor restaurant patio;3. Garage at rear of property had been demolished and was under construction;4. Unit was adjacent to construction site, particularly unpleasant when they emptied portable toilets;5. Unit smelled, so we bought Fabreez, which did not help. With the hosts permission, we rolled up the living room carpet and placed it in the laundry room. Unit was more pleasant once we opened windows and were able to air out the property;6. Six windows in the unit, two were inoperable and two required wood supports to prop open;7. No ice cube trays;8. We notified our host we were vacating the unit two days earlier than originally planned and to confirm their check out expectations of us. After we had departed, we received an email notifying us we may be liable for a 100 late check out fee. When we inquired, they said it was an automated message.We would not rent this unit again.
