The cabin is exactly as pictured and described. We didn’t bring a lot with us as far as activities. The lake was PERFECT for our Golden Retriever.
The highway is a bit of a negative as the sound of cars and trucks is constant. The cabin had a lot of flies that we spent some time killing and cleaning out.
The bathroom up the hill was conveniently located right behind our cabin. It is a hike up it especially middle of night or early morning. I would not like to be on the west end of the cabins as that would be a longer walk. Same goes for parking. If you are located in the middle section of the cabins, parking is on each end and would require a walk to get to as parking is no allowed in front of cabins.
There were some other minor issues with an outlet not working and the curtains getting closed properly. Inside cabin at night is not overly dark. If you need a dark room to sleep, this is not for you.
Only issues we had was the walk to the bathroom in the pouring down rain. No parking at the cabins and no car on the hill where the restrooms/shower house is. It was certainly annoying. Also, the beds were terrible. I cant stress that enough.
Now, the good. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were personable and knowledgable about the area. The campground is beautiful. We were going to spend time fishing and the nearby lakes but we were doing so well from our firepit i didnt want to leave. We probably caught 100 fish in 4 days and we didnt fish the entire time. I also caught two 9 inch bluegill. I was stoked. The cabins were so cute, and besides the uncomfortable beds, i couldnt have asked for anything else. The blankets and pillows were definitely better than I've had other camping places. Thanks for providing extra trash bags and the floor towel in the showers. Ive never seen towels left for ppl to use like that and they definitely come in handy. Also, the hand soap, tp, and papertowels were all top quality. Made it definitely feel like glamping. My boyfriend and I had such a great time we are planning to come back in the fall.
What a cute little getaway! The little A gram cabin was simple but adorable!! The bathroom/shower house was beautiful as well! Everything looks very new! It was awesome we could bring ours dogs! There’s a fire pit with chairs out behind the cabin that overlooks the lake. My husband and I had a wonderful time and highly recommend checking this place out!!
This place did not seize to amaze! The place was so clean, comfortable and smelled great!!The bathrooms so big spacious and so clean too!!!I love how they allow your dog to make the trip w you. I was hesitant on going alone but w my Shepard’s by my side, it was perfect! They loved the lake to swim in and the open fields to roam about on our hike. Peaceful and quiet place. You can hear yourself think here I’m already planning another stay!
