Nice and cozy!

The cabin is cozy and well-equipped. Plenty of space to relax and admire the fall scenery from the front and back porches. The owner takes good care to stock some basic food items, spices, chocolates, bath items, chips, etc. It was the perfect escape for a relaxing fall weekend. I look forward to revisiting it someday.

Anniversary fishing trip

It was perfect, the cabin was in a great location for lake access for our fishing boat. The cabin was very clean and the pictures on the website were exactly as discribed. All the little touches Amber does for her renters are perfect she even left us a happy anniversary card. She lives in the basement but we never seen nor heard from her. The water pressure and hot water for the shower are also great.We sleped in the main bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs out on the screened in front porch . We also took the time to enjoy the hot tub very nice to sit outside under the stars. We also went into town about 15 min away lots a restaurants to choose from. The perfect couples cabin. We are already talking about renting again.

Everything we could have possibly needed, was graciously provided: Quality brand shampoo & conditioner, extra toothbrushes, makeup remover wipes, orange juice, FRESH eggs from the host's chickens, assorted k-cups, etc. She literally thought of EVERYTHING, and it was very much appreciated. She lives in the lower level, but we never even saw or heard from her as we had our own entrance apart from hers. This was the perfect location for us, as our friends' cabin is only 4 down from hers, right on the lake. My only somewhat dislike, was that the cabin has an occupancy limit of 4, but I had to pay extra to bring a 3rd person. I've never had to pay extra to bring an extra person when it was within the occupancy limit before, so that was strange, but we paid it and were very happy with our stay overall. This was a very clean cabin, exceptionally well-stocked, and the host was very friendly and responsive. We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy our stay. We travel almost every month and have stayed in many rentals, but we’ve never encountered so many rules and instructions. In addition to a massive binder full of directions, we received around ten more messages with reminders and requirements. Instead of relaxing, it felt stressful and overwhelming. There was also no washer or dryer, which was inconvenient for longer stays. The property may appeal to guests who appreciate antiques and old-fashioned decor, but those looking for modern comfort and convenience may be disappointed. One example that stood out was the grill. The owner repeatedly emphasized that it was very expensive and required special care, including using only a specific starter, thoroughly cleaning it after use, and always keeping it covered. However, when we inspected it, it had clearly not been cleaned from previous use, and the cover itself was full of holes. The level of concern and instructions simply did not match the actual condition of the equipment.Overall, for the price, we expected a much more comfortable and relaxing experience. Instead, it felt like we were paying for stress and constantly worrying about following countless instructions.

The cabin is a mountain log cabin featuring hand carved granite countertops, slate and hardwood flooring, stainless steel appliances, and a quiet setting near the lake. Guests who choose our property are typically looking for a traditional mountain cabin experience rather than a modern urban-style home. The house rules are straightforward and are primarily intended to protect the property and ensure a comfortable stay for all guests. They are pretty easy and straightforward items such as no smoking, no unapproved visitors, and no fireworks or firearms on the property. The grill instructions reference the wax fire starters that are provided for guest use and are intended to help guests operate the grill safely and successfully. I appreciate you bringing the grill condition to my attention. I will inspect it personally and address any maintenance concerns. The listing also clearly notes that a washer and dryer are not provided. Our cabin accommodates short stays, with a maximum stay length of four nights, and most guests find the available amenities meet their needs during their visit. Cozy Cabin

Even before arriving the host was gracious and provided details and answered questions regarding the local area. The amenities provided were over the top as was the cleanliness of the cabin. The cabin was as wonderful as the pictures and video. The kitchen is very well stocked with all things needed for our week long stay. The host even provided a dozen eggs and orange juice and honey from a local bee keeper. My wife and I had a wonderful time and look forward to going back again. I can’t give a high enough compliment for all things provided and the homey comfortable feeling we experienced for a week. Thank you Amber for sharing your cabin with us! Sarge and Andrea

Very clean cozy cabin.

Thank you Amber. We had a great experience at your cabin. We loved that you were willing to be flexible when we thought we would arrive early. Our process renting and communicating with owner thru vrbo was quick and easy. Perfect size kitchen with everything you need. Beautifull screened-in porch, with a tranquil deep forest view. We loved the privacy, and the extra amenities the owner offered at no extra charge. Like the dark chocolate snacks, make your own snow cones and my favorite: eggs & orange juice in the full size fridge. We felt taken cared of. Everything you need is layed out in a binder with how to cabin 101 instructions and plenty of info on activities, including free access to nearby lake for us to enjoy. Even had options of what to do in case weather was bad. There's more too...Wow! Awesome! Thank you again. Until next time. Dennis
