Quaint old home located very conveniently in freeport close to all the shops ! Easy to go to Bow street to provision , it’s directly across the street . Ian was very accommodating and attentive !
Loved this old house with its original wood floors. The host was very responsive and even asked for feedback to help make this location more welcoming. A big bonus is that there is a grocery store right across the street!
Stayed for 3 nights for Bowdoin graduation. Place was perfect for us. Love Bow Street Market across School Street. A little bit of street noise but not a real problem. Comfy beds!
My family of 6 stayed here in December for some christmas festivities. We took the Amtrak train from New Hampshire and it was an easy 7min walk from the station to the apartment. Then it was another easy 7min walk to downtown Freeport where we ate dinner and shopped at the 24hr LL Bean. The apartment was spacious with its two floors and comfortable setting. We loved the easy check-in with the keypad and having the convenient market next door. We were also very grateful to Ian for offering us a late check-out to match the train schedule. Highly recommend this place.

Very disappointing
The pictures of the home are very deceiving. There was nothing said that you had to walk up very steep stairs to a second and third story level. I had elderly parents with me and this was definitely difficult for them. Throughout the entire house there were tons of unfinished places. Closets had no doors. Multiple windows had no curtains or blinds. Most importantly, the only bathroom had no curtains on the window, that when you sat on the toilet, you were completely exposed to other houses and the roads. There were not enough towels. There were no bedding linens for the pullout couch as stated in their book and we had to ask for them. When I tried to communicate through the Vrbo website messaging system , the owner did not answer me for multiple hours to the point that I had to contact the VRBO customer service group. He did answer once I reached out through them and he was a very pleasant man, but I shouldn’t have to be trying for hours to reach the owner for something that was supposed to be there per his book in place already. The outside was in shambles and the lawn was a mess. Frankly, it was a very unsettling place to stay in, and we would never come back again We paid over $500 for one night, which is ridiculous for what was offered
5 of us shared this house and were able to walk to and from the main drag for shopping and dining. The stores closed early, the bars soon after, but the house was a comfy spot for us to hang out after hours.
Cozy. Convenient to Bow Street Market with full grocery, prepared foods, liquor, wine, beer etc. Easy walk to downtown. Reasonably priced. We arrived by Amtrak to enjoy Sparkle Weekend. Everything we wanted was in walking distance. Thank you and good luck with this new venture!
This was so User Friendly. It was quiet but also walking distance to everything. And 24/7 LL Bean. There is a Skate Park three minutes away. Huge Amenity for Teens.
