This 2,500 sq. ft. modern craftsman luxury home on 11 acres was built over 3 years with tremendous love and hard work by the owners and includes 4 bedrooms, 3 baths with a gorgeous view of McMinnville...all in the heart of wine country!

This gated property is walking distance to Bravuro Cellars and just minutes to multiple others by car, including award winning wineries like Methven Family Vineyards and Brooks Winery.

The private master bedroom includes a California King bed, TV, walk-in closet, private access to the deck and stunning valley view, full bath with double sinks.

Comfortable reclining couches and a grand kitchen table provide an inviting environment, encouraging you to stay and relax a while. Open concept with plenty of windows and natural sunlight! In the fall/winter months, cozy up by our wood stove with your favorite glass of local Pinot.

The downstairs includes a kitchenette with a wet bar, professional grade massage chair with all the bells and whistles, two oversized bedrooms with California King beds, a large sofa, Smart TV, and access to our 5-6 person sparkling covered spa, covered patio, and outdoor fire pit. Sticks for s'mores, and plenty of firewood are provided to fuel the perfect evening!

This is a beautiful getaway for any family!

*High quality queen air mattress and bedding sleeps an additional 2 people if needed.

*If traveling with small children under two, we have a two highchairs (one travel size, one full size), a baby gate for the stairs (please read instructions carefully - we are not responsible for improper installation), and a pack and play available for use to make your stay more convenient and stress-free.

This house server perfect for 3 adult couples all requiring their own bathroom and a kitchen to cook in.We had plant of space to play cards, chat, and relax in the hot tub.An excellent choice on a quiet road for morning walks. We had two questions first day that were answered immediately!Great choice for this area!

Wine Country and College Visit

This house was perfect for three couples touring wine country. Plenty of places to go nearby. The hot tub was perfect after a long day. We also visited our daughter who is going to college. Close to McMinnville and all of their restaurants. The host were quick to reply.

Birthday Getaway

We had a wonderful time celebrating my husband’s birthday with friends at this beautiful rental! The location was a great spot for experiencing a variety of wineries, the coast and the waterfalls at the Columbia River Gorge scenic area. There was plenty of space for 6 adults and there is an amazing view from the back. I highly recommend this rental.

We had the most amazing stay for our first trip to Oregon! Our group of eight friends was absolutely blown away by this home and property. The views are spectacular, and the house itself is stunning—every detail has been so thoughtfully considered. Everything was spotless, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and we loved all the small touches like blow dryers, a flat iron, and other little conveniences that made our stay easy and comfortable.A special highlight was the beautiful pottery throughout the home made by local artisans—starting each morning with coffee in handmade mugs felt like such a treat. Evenings by the wood-burning stove were perfectly cozy, and the hot tub and outdoor seating nook made for the best morning coffee spot.As the planner of the group, it’s always a relief when everyone is happy with the accommodations—but it’s an amazing feeling when they love them. Our stay was wonderful thanks to our amazing hosts who really thought of everything a visitor would want or need to know and left clear instructions in various places around the house. The property itself is lovely and we found it to be a great place to have Thanksgiving. There was plenty of space for our group of 9 to spread out and the kitchen was better stocked than any home rental I have ever stayed at. We loved seeing deer from the balcony while watching football with Thanksgiving dinner cooking. It was so cozy! My family made good use of the hot tub which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring McMinnville and wine tasting. The directions to the property were very clear and there was ample parking. We all commented on how comfortable our beds were and were thankful that quality linens were used in the bedrooms and bathrooms. I would love to visit again in the late spring or summer when we could make better use of the outdoor grounds but they were still beautiful to be surrounded by. It made our Thanksgiving getaway feel special. I would highly recommend this property to multigenerational groups, girls trips, or a gathering of friends.

Great Location

Overall great property. Plenty of space to spread out and very well stocked. Hot tub was very clean and plenty of pool towels available. Great welcome book with all the details for the house and suggested restaurant locations. Just some minor suggestions would make it just that much better. Provide umbrellas and maybe some playing cards, the bath towels were musty, and the front steps when wet were very slick. Would recommend this property and would stay again.

Gorgeous property and home in wine country

Wow, what a gem! This house is absolutely beautiful with modern amenities, cozy beds, hot tub and more. It felt like a true vacation home and oasis. The only downside was the tv and internet connection was spotty so i wouldn’t pick it if you’re looking for a spot to watch a big game or work from home (though you could go to McMinnville and work from a coffee shop), but otherwise 10/10. We’d love to come back!

Simply Relaxing

Great home with an amazing view. Property is well maintained with minor showing of age/use. Fully stocked kitchen, with a plus of some basic staples/condiments/coffees in the cupboard. We cooked most meals at the house and had lots of room for everyone. Hot tub was great, the fireplace and generous allocation of firewood was a pleasant surprise. Hosts were friendly, response, and helpful. Location was just a little off the beaten path, but upon exploring it is just a twenty minute ride from lots of amenities.

Beautiful home with plenty of space to spend quality family time. We enjoyed: 1) Fantastic views of the valley from the living room and back porch. 2) Open kitchen concept with large island for gathering adjacent to dining room allowing everyone to participate during food prep. 3) Two bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs makes for good separation between families or adults/children. 4) Massage chair. A luxury after a long day. 5) Spa unit of bottom level slider. Another comfort for relaxation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property.

Greg and Kirsten met in a design class at George Fox University many years ago. Some time later they reunited in a ceramics class where Greg realized he would love to marry this beautiful artistic girl. Thankfully, after graduating, Greg’s dream came true and he married Kirsten. Kirsten taught preschool while Greg pursued a masters to later teach high school ceramics. In 2012 they started looking for a house that they could afford on a teacher's salary. Most of their offers were too low and they kept getting outbid on deals. So they started looking into building a home, how hard could that be? Naively they bought 11 undeveloped acres armed with a weed whacker, Youtube, and a willingness to do whatever necessary. The "12 months of building" actually took 36...but they never gave up. Thousands of hours later they completed their home, and now feel honored to have the opportunity to invite you in and experience the finished product - a collaborative masterpiece that they hope offers a peaceful and very memorable experience with people you love...all in the heart of wine country.

Why they chose this property

This house was designed and built by two artist owners, Greg and Kirsten, who share a semi-minimalist aesthetic with an emphasis on geometric lines. The goal was to contrast the surroundings in form but compliment it in color. “This property has been one giant art project for us that we hope you will love. We want this property to be a place that heals you. Life is very difficult, stressful, and humans can be hard to deal with. We hope you can feel the peace we have prayed over this land and home. We hope you leave feeling closer to who you are, more centered, and more alive." - Greg and Kirsten Johnson

What makes this property unique

Most of our visitors comment on the peace and serenity they feel when visiting. Our house sits overlooking a secluded 11 acre ravine currently undergoing reforestation with over 3k trees (douglas fir, ponderosa pine, and western red cedar). On clear days you’ll see the Evergreen Aviation museum and the north areas of McMinnville. We’re visited by deer, owls, hawks, bunnies, qual, and many other animals that make the forest their home. There are over 40 wineries within a 10 mile radius of this property. The view and location of the property is a perfect blend of privacy and view. You'll be at the end of a private, gated dead-end road off of a dead end county road. It is a wonderful place to relax and not have any unwanted visitors!
