Based on prior conversations with owner, we were led to believe the property would be suitable for our 9 day stay over Thanksgiving. That was not the case. The condition of the property upon arrival was unacceptable. A storm occured a month prior left a pool full of sand, (she mentioned pool out of order) sandy bottom in hot tub, all chairs around pool area and observation area covered in sand. Sand was even on window sills in Dining area...which indicates a lack of proper cleaning. Which was evident throught the entire home. Interior furnishings well worn...linens cheap and well past their prime. Sheets on master and other bedroom except kids rooms, were thin, cheap and just downright awful. No rugs in bathroom areas...these are not option extras but basic expectations for a rental property on the ocean...not inexpensive either! This cottage DID NOT represent the VRBO listing. A Huge disappointment not to mention...waist of money. I have been going to Nags Head for over 40yrs. and never have I ever had such a disappointing stay.

Our stay was amazing! This house has everything you can think of that you’ll need. The hosts were super accommodating and very responsive. They don’t ask much of you at checkout which is so nice because it’s already stressful enough trying to pack. We are truly grateful to have been able to stay here!

The pool was unusable for the majority of our stay. We left early because the host refused to have the pool cleaned to be usable. The home is not as advertised and is in poor condition. The host made up a charge not on our rental agreement when I brought up these concerns. Choose a different property and host.

Fun in the Sun

We had a great time during our stay. The property was in a good location and very clean with a lot of room to spread out. The pool and hot tub were perfect and where we spent a lot of time along with the kitchen and upstairs family room. The host provided a lot of extra pool toys, puzzles, games, and the kitchen had a lot of tools to cook with. I do wish the pots and pans were newer. They are well used by many! Easy check in and check out and the host is very communicative. Thank you for a great time!

Exceptional Nags Head Home

This is a fantastic property! The house is beautifully maintained and decorated. The pool is WONDERFUL! And, the location on the beach with a clear view to the ocean is perfect. We spent a lot of time on the decks looking out onto the ocean. Like many other OBX properties that are suitable for a large family, there are lots of stairs - not a problem for most. I highly recommend this beautiful beach home. Oh, and I appreciated the kitchen stocked with all the normal things - spices, condiments, and much more.

Wonderful location for family beach week

The location, cleanliness and amenities couldn't be better. Unfortunately, hurricane weather disrupted an absolute perfect week but in spite of those hiccups, I highly recommend this property.

Thanksgiving Family Reunion

This was the perfect spot for us to meet our adult sons for Thanksgiving. The kitchen was equipped enough to cook a Thanksgiving feast!. The boys enjoyed the hot tub while we read, puzzled and relaxed inside. Within walking distance to both piers and November weather is perfect for a walk between them. There was something for everyone here, and plenty of room to spread out. Thank you for everything!
