The property was in a quiet, re.ote location which was perfect for relaxation. The house was well stocked and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the shower had wonderful water pressure. Check-in was simple. The pond has limited space for fishing based on signage, but we were able to catch a couple even with the remnants of the hurricane coming through. Suggestions: a trash can for the kitchen, a new kitchen sink, some outdoor maintenance. Visitors should know restaurants and shopping are about 30 minutes away. Thank you for a great stay.

Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting, comfortable bed, well-stocked home, and pond fishing!
For future guests, we do have a kitchen trash can and recycling bin tucked into a pull-out drawer to the right of the stove, so those may have been easy to overlook. We appreciate the feedback regarding the kitchen sink and outdoor maintenance as well. Unfortunately, our mower is currently in need of repair, and our local lawn service has been out of town. The recent hurricane may also have contributed to some unexpected lawn debris, and we apologize that the outdoor areas weren’t in their usual condition during your stay.
As noted in our listing, our home is a mountain retreat designed for a quiet, relaxing getaway. While some restaurants and shopping require a drive, there are a couple of restaurants very close to the property, with many more options within a 30-minute drive. We had also offered to share local recommendations immediately after your booking and would have been happy to help you plan outings during your stay.
Thank you again for choosing our home. We appreciate your kind comments and your suggestions as we continue working to provide a great experience for our guests.
The owners were fantastic hosts. The online pictures of the house were great, but it was even better in person. The house was extremely clean upon arrival and had everything we needed to feel at home. This is a great place to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. Highly recommend!
We had a great time staying here. The kids fished in the pond almost nonstop and the close proximity to the state park made it a great home base for us for the weekend.
This home is beautiful and very well maintained. We enjoyed our weekend stay while we attended a George Strait concert in Clemson. This property was perfect for our family of five. Usage of the garage is a nice bonus as well.
Check in and communication excellent. House was beautiful. We had a great time with reconnecting with our cousins. Our first time to experience South Carolina.
This home was perfect for our family getaway/gathering. The location was awesome and fall foliage beautiful! The home is beautiful, very well appointed and spacious.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Home On The Pond! We welcome you back anytime!
A beautiful home in a beautiful setting. The house is well appointed. The hosts have successfully anticipated their guests' needs. The premises were clean and the beds very comfortable after our long drive. My daughter especially enjoyed the reading nook in her bedroom and we all loved our time on the screened in porch. Great location! We enjoyed the state park for hiking, some small town shops and even a Clemson football game.
The Home on the Pond was a great little getaway for our family. The kids enjoyed fishing down at the pond. My favorite place was sitting on the screened in back porch listening to the birds and wind chimes.
The property was fantastic! It was clean, the layout was perfect for my elderly parents, and the beds were super comfortable (most important part after a long bike race). The view of the lake was great. This place felt very much felt like home away from home. My dad wanted to live there 😂
