Designed for two, this 1 bedroom/1 bath condo blends a relaxed coastal look with practical comforts—perfect for couples planning a beachfront vacation rental in Mexico with snorkeling, seaside cafés, and day trips at hand.

Inside, sunlight and sea tones define the open living/dining area, which connects to a fully equipped kitchen for easy breakfasts and simple dinners. Slide open the glass door and settle into your ocean-view patio to watch pelicans skim the bay. The king bedroom features dedicated air-conditioning, crisp linens, and peaceful ambiance for restful nights. The bathroom is well laid out with a walk-in shower and ample storage.

Walk the shoreline to Akumal Bay for restaurants and dive shops or to Yal Ku Lagoon for calm snorkeling. Spend slow afternoons by the new oceanfront pool, then wander to La Buena Vida for sunset cocktails. With Caribbean-fast internet, you’ll stay connected between adventures. Relaxing quiet location

Our stay in Akumal was great. We are really greatful to the management,especially Kat, for the wonderdul communication about the sargasso grass and suggesting another unit. We were able to snorkel right outside the unit and even though it was windy, we were able to enjoy the nay.

Past time was at La Bahia.We stayed one week in The Reef B, a surprisingly large one bedroom condo.Very clean, easy check in and check out.After reading other reviews we brought our own kitchen knives.The condo could use an upgrade in sharp knives and pans (only one 6" skillet).An umbrella at the outdoor table would also be great (odd that there isn't one).David Palencia is an amazing concierge and helped book a tour of Cenote Santa Cruz - a must see! And he also arranged for a rental car and airport transportation. We will definitely be back.

The best staff ready to accommodate all your needs. 1 mile from Akumal at Turtle Bay, a nice walk or bicycle ride away from some Amazing food at several restaurants serving that days catch. Snorkeling opportunities are all around. Some for a fee, but still great without a guide! Yal-Ku Cenote is also a short trek away and well worth renting a palapa for the day for a private shelter for your snorkeling excursion. The Reef B is a Perfect spot for a Romantic go away!

Amazing location and beautiful room

We loved staying here! The only cons were that we were switched from staying at the Reef to Luna Azul due to construction, but it seemed like they were doing maintenance and work on Luna Azul as well. Check-in was for 3pm, and they needed another hour to prepare our room when we arrived. No big deal, as we just hung out on the beach, but they seemed slightly unprepared. We were pretty bummed that their giant bathtub in the main room was a dud. We wanted to take a bath, and it was clear that we ran out of hot water quickly and we barely had any water in the tub before we realized you could only take a cold bath. Those things aside, the staff were wonderful, we loved the beach access, and the room was beautiful!! We would stay there again.

Beachfront Bliss

We are far from being all inclusive type people. This is the best way to get an incredible and more authentic and laid back experience without crowds and tons of tourists. The property is so well looked after as there is always someone on site caring for it. The unit B we stayed in was extremely spacious had the basics to cook in any time. Airconditioning in two rooms made for extra comfort. The location and view is the best part of this rental by far. Walking distance to some really great and affordable restaurants. There is a reef right outside your door to snorkel in that is like a fish tank. We rented bikes and rode over the bridge to the town of Akumal where the locals live and had the most incredible tacos I have ever had and the people are all so kind. You can also ride to cenotes and the Monkey Sanctuary. We hope to come back next year and stay for longer.

On a recent solo vacation I selected this condo and am already making plans to return. The location is quiet; away from the crowds in Akumal Bay; but close enough to a variety of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The property is meticulously maintained and the housekeepers are warm and friendly. Everything you need for s stress-free vacation is at your fingertips and a quick stop at the supermarket on the way allows you to fully stock your kitchen. For a meal out; do not miss La Lunita or Jungle Fish (just down the road). The only drawback is a burgeoning band of non-native raccoons who hang out in the greenery in front of the condo. They are clever creatures, capable of opening the screen doors!

Just what we needed

We really enjoyed our stay! We had originally booked a different property along the same beach. The property manager reached out and asked if we would like to move to another one of their properties because of construction going on in the condo building. We agreed, and they upgraded us at no extra charge. We so appreciated that they thought of us in this way. The condo we stayed in was on the first floor and when I say right on the beach, you can’t get much closer! So incredible. The bedding was crisp and clean and super comfortable. We were right near by to two amazing restaurants ~ the jungle cafe for breakfast and La Beuna Vida for dinner. We bought snorkeling gear and went out snorkeling steps from the condo. Also super close to Akumal swimming with turtles, that was magical experience. *The staff was friendly and kind. The neighbor was super safe and chill. It was awesome to 25 minutes from Tulum so we could visit, and return back to the peace and quiet of Akumal. We also loved Aktun Chen national park. We loved making coffee in the morning, and sitting in the little porch over looking the pool and the ocean. (The kitchen was pretty well stocked with utensils and such) We could hear the beautiful waves at night. The property could use a little updating, it seems they are working on that. It certainly did not effect our enjoyment. We are not the “all inclusive never leave the resort” kind of people, and this was so in alignment with how we love to experience travel.

And staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend an AC unit with different fan speeds; though you can "control" the temperature, the fan is either off or full blast. Also, while I understand the sea-grass, there was significant built it and no mitigation efforts. It made accessing the bay extremely unpleasant and difficult. I went to another location for a few day (not Akumal) and while there was sea-grass, in was significantly less and easier to navigate to get to the water.
