This VRBO had everything you need for a great week on the Cape. The updated, fresh decor was lovely and the great location and proximity to the bay beaches great. We especially loved the new decks and water view!

Absolutely blissful stay in this beautifully situated Wellfleet house
We had a wonderful stay in this Wellfleet house at the start of this past summer.
We loved the house and the location, with a bayside view of the water from the living room and about a three minute walk to the nearest beach (which also turned out to be THE beach with the best sunsets. We often watched them, drinks in hand, seagulls flying above).
We loved the quiet and privacy of the house, as well, with a well-kept lawn surrounded by gorgeous hydrangea bushes and trees providing both shady and sunny areas, and plenty of space for outdoor picnics and fun.
The house itself was spacious, sunny, comfortable, clean and bright, with attractive modern furnishings and plenty of helpful information on where to go and what to do.
The kitchen was well-equipped and served all our needs well. We especially liked the master bedroom, with it's comfortable bed, spacious closet and curtained sliding glass doors.
And we appreciated having a laundry room with a washer and drier downstairs, as well as an additional bathroom — with a bathtub! (which I can't do without).
The location was also ideal — five minutes away from wonderful seafood restaurants, and even a French bakery and bistro, PB Boulangerie (owned by an actual Frenchman), and only a 15-minutes from several magnificent oceanside beaches with broad expanses of sand to walk along and lots of surf, blue skies and ocean air to allow us commune with nature recoup our energies.
There were also some wonderful walking paths nearby as well as a nature preserve we loved visiting. And when the tide was out we were told we could actually walk along the bayside to the center of Wellfleet (although we didn't actually do this, as it was such a short drive into town, where we did our grocery shopping, when we weren't eating out).
All in all, we had a wonderful stay. We know we'll return, and while we'd like to keep this place a secret, we know that it wouldn't be fair to do so. We highly recommend it.

Wellfleet at its best
This house sparkles with everything that’s special about the Outer Cape. It is tucked away at the end of a sandy knoll with water at every turn. Stroll down a sandy path to Burton Baker Beach, perfect for swimming and sunset views of Great Island. Or walk around the bend to Indian Neck Beach for a wider expanse of sand and bay. The house is clean, modern, well-equipped, and filled with light. Lots of windows and cooling breezes. Upstairs is a large bedroom with deck, updated kitchen, and spacious living room/dining room. Downstairs is laundry room and two bedrooms with sliders to a patio. The location is perfect for anyone who loves to walk, with many different options. Our favorite was to head out early to Fields Point, a nature preserve just to the south. Town is a short drive or bike ride away. This was our fourth year at this house, and we look forward to returning. Our adult children accompany us every year—for all of us, this place epitomizes Wellfleet at its best.

Sweet Spot on Indian Neck
What makes this house wonderful is all about location. The house is at the end of a dead-end road making it feel very private and tucked away. The landscaping and yard add to the feel. When you want to go to the beach, it's a short walk down a sandy path. I enjoyed a pre-breakfast beach stroll every morning. And, when you want to go for a beautiful walk, there are numerous quiet roads with nice views, and at low tide an incredible stroll along several beaches.
The house is a custom designed beach house with an open floor plan leading out to a continuous deck. Its many windows and cathedral ceiling create a spacious and airy feel with lots of daylight and views to the bay from the deck. Although we weren't there in swimming season the outdoor shower was calling my name! The master bedroom with cathedral ceilings and a slider out to the deck was very pleasant. The house was very clean and well equipped as well as beautifully and comfortably furnished. Comfy couches to curl up on with throws which we enjoyed in October. The homeowners thought of all the creature comforts and special touches which made our stay feel like home away from home.
We only used the upstairs as it was just two of us....but the windowed staircase down led to two more well equipped bedrooms and a full bath.
Overall, there's a sense of quietness and privacy to the house that makes for a wonderful vacation.
We have recommended it to friends & plan to return.

About the host
Your host
We live in Northampton, MA. known as the Pioneer Valley. While there is great beauty and culture in our area with the 5 colleges and the Holyoke Mountain Range in the background, by springtime the salt air of the ocean beckons.
Why they chose this property
Having grown up in the New York area, we spent our childhood going to the beaches on Long Island. When we moved to Massachusetts 30 years ago we were looking for a beach to take our children to in the summer and discovered the beauty of Cape Cod. We fell in love with Wellfleet and our absolute favorite part is Indian Neck and the bayside of Wellfleet. (Although the ocean is not far away.) Now we are lucky enough to own our own sunny, beautiful contemporary 1/10 mile from Burton Baker Indian Neck Beach and want to share it with others.
What makes this property unique
Not only is our house a very short walk to the beach, with sweeping views of the bay from the living room and deck, there is a wonderful upper deck with panaoramic views fot he bay and Great Island. You can walk to conservation land, and enjoy boating in Chipman's Cove and Wellfleet Harbor. It is a short drive to Wellfleet with its wonderful art galleries and restaurants.
