We love staying here. We love the layout and how gracious the host is. This is our third time staying here, once in the summer with family/friends and twice in the winter with friends. We plan to come back next winter.
This is by far one of the favorite places our family has stayed. Very comfortable for a large family has plenty of space for people to go so you’re not all on top of each other. The garage that’s been converted to an extra space is an amazing bonus once the heaters were on for a few hours it perked right up and was perfect to have family game night done. The host was super communicative and gracious, and we will definitely be back.
The cabin was very comfortable and we had a wonderful time. Love the bonus room in the garage. The view was awesome and the property is beautiful. The host were awesome and were very responsive to our inquiries. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great get-away!
This is the third year that our family has vacationed here. The house is clean and well stocked, the yard is great for family fun and the lake is perfect for water sports.
What a wonderful place to spend time with family! Beautiful yard where we played lots of games. House had everything we needed including lots of beds for all the guests. Dog friendly was a big plus! We got big northerns right off the dock. Everyone had a great time.
The home was beautiful, very comfortable and accommodated all of our family. The views and access to the water were the best. Enjoyed the sunrise and kayaking on the water in the mornings. Plenty of space outside for outside games. Rachel was very quick to respond to our questions. We would recommend staying here and hope to return soon.
Rachel was communicative when it comes to questions, had a beautiful and well kept property and had easy to follow instructions for checking in and out. Would absolutely recommend!
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Lots of room for our family to relax and play while enjoying the beautiful view of the lake! Wonderful amenities and very clean! Loved having the extra game room in the garage. Thanks!
We loved our stay at A Creek Runs Through It for my birthday. I would definitely recommend renting this cabin for your adventures. The garage was our favorite hangout spot and watched many movies and the Minnesota Frost game
Our family had a 3 night stay in February and everything was great! The garage was a great place for the kids to hang out. The house was very nice and had everything we needed. The Host was great! Definitely recommend this place!
Our group really enjoyed our stay! Rachel's home is beautiful, peaceful and had everything we needed. I highly recommend if you are looking for a getaway not too far from the cities!

About the host
Hosted by Rachel Goetzmann
We aren't professional owners but wanted to share our lake place with other families so they can enjoy the lovely property, quiet lake with little boat traffic and great fishing. We live about 1 hour away, enjoy family time, traveling, cooking, TV , birdwatching, reading and games.
Why they chose this property
We instantly felll in love with the flat yard and babbling creek with darling bridges. The little boy fishing on the bridge just adds to the charm. Feel free to give him a name during your stay. The privacy, views and expansive lot are our oasis from the city life. The lake view is calming and inspiring with the large trees and rolling farm hills. The cabin and lawn provide perfect spaces for relaxing, fun and entertaining.
What makes this property unique
We converted the garage to a Great Room and installed a Lifestyle screened garage door Really cool door which allows easy indoor/outdoor entertaining with all the comforts of a family room. The garage has become everyones favorite hang out with the comfy furniture, ping pong table and long counter space. We suggest using the counter top as a buffet for your snacks and meals. Who ever wakes up first usually heads to the garage with the dogs so they can play and you can enjoy your coffee while the lazy ones can sleep in.
