Wonderful, charming place for an extended stay. Hosts super responsive and helpful. Clean with all the amenities you could need.Would definitely stay again.
We've stayed at Otto's place several times now, and it's been amazing each time. Plenty of space for our family to relax and enjoy the surrounding area. Our grandchildren loved the play room and spacious yard. Recently we stayed when the weather was warm, and enjoyed the outdoor spaces with plenty of outside seating. We enjoyed walking down the road to see goats, sheep, and horses. Reilik winery is in walking distance and a fun venue that has weekend entertainment and ice cream!
We had a wonderful stay, everything was perfect. We had enough room for all of us. The hosts were so accommodating and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay near Medford and Jacksonville. We enjoyed our stay!!!
Beautiful property, well maintained, great location if you want to be in the countryside. It’s an older home with some good history…which has its pros and cons. The owners were great to work with. Glad we could bring our dog. Would stay there again.
Otto’s place was perfect for a family weekend away to celebrate a family wedding. The home fit our needs perfectly. Location was perfect to the wedding and easy to get to surrounding towns. Home had a lot of historic features with modern conveniences. If we have a chance to head back and stay in the area, we would.
We’re visiting to attend family reunion. There were up to 8 of us and there was so much space, both outdoor and indoor we never felt cramped. The farm experience was an added bonus. We had fun feeding the horses and experiencing local wineries. Thank you to Jessica for going above and beyond expected. Highly recommend.
We were greeted with fresh flowers and soft music, snacks, beverages, and all the basics for a lovely family vacation. The house is spacious, bright and welcoming, with plenty of bedrooms for our four adults and three little (7, 6, and 4) boys. They loved spotting the cows every morning and going to visit the horses, donkey, and local alpacas. Our hosts were immediately available when a couple of small issues arose and were gracious in responding, both before and during our visit. This property was a winner all the way around!
My family and I stayed here for a summer get together and had a great time. The house worked well for the 12 of us (adults and kids) with a nice yard for the kids to play. It's a neat older custom built farmhouse with a lot of the original character intact but with just enough improvements to suit everyone.
Nice quiet location with cows and horses across the lane and dark enough at night to see some stars.
Very close to historic Jacksonville, so stopping into town for a dinner out or ice cream was easy. 15-20 min to swimming on the Applegate River and about 30 mins or so to Applegate Lake reservoir.
Definitely will consider coming back for another stay!
The house and location was nice. Easy to get to Jacksonville. I did call manager about the all night Christmas lights on, window coverings were not good actually the bedroom I had had no drapes I had to put a blanket up. The bathrooms were dirty, like behind the doors, the floors were dirty when I wiped up water off the floor that I dropped from shower. No bed pad on bed. I left my mirror called Jess to ask if she would please send it to me and that I would Venmo her the postage, she said yes still don’t have it and it’s over 2 weeks. Some dirty dishes. House is cute.
We appreciated the fresh eggs and snacks that were so thoughtfully left for us. We were in town for a family reunion, and this was just around the corner from our cousins' house. (There was also a second house next door that our other cousins happened to conveniently rent!) It's pet friendly, had many things that we needed to prepare meals, and you get to hear and see cows, peacocks, and other animals nearby. Our one small glitch was the front door getting blown open when we were gone. Jess was super helpful ensuring us via video that it mustve been the wind (and someone in our family must not have deadbolted the door properly). It was the craziest thing! We will definitely be staying again for the next reunion! :)
Hi! I'm so sorry I didnt sign your book. First time renting Vrbo. And plus we were, busy, busy, busy. So here I am..Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with me and my family. We all loved that we had our own rooms. It felt like home. You communicated so well with us, from all the emails to a book at your home to signs within the house. Loved looking at all the farm animal nearby. The beautiful peacocks. And just the view from around the whole home. The neighbors were all so quiet. Just the sounds of animals. Thank you for giving us a beautiful place to stay and rest our heads.
There were 9 of us, travelling there separately in 3 different groups, including 3 small children. Jess was very kind in letting us check in quite a bit early, which was much appreciated, especially for those travelling with little ones. We were in the area for a memorial service for my stepfather 20 minutes away at the VA cemetery in Eagle Point. The property was comfortable and peaceful and roomy enough for all of us. It was a peaceful country setting, but just minutes from wineries, shops, and dining. Great place to stay. The large laundry room was a great place to store bulky items, without them being in our way. A friend from the area left an item behind and the host kindly arranged with her the next day to return it. Highly recommend.
We are a group of 8, 60+ who get together once a year for friendship and exploration. This year was Jacksonville and Ashland. The VRBO is in the country and only a mile into Jacksonville. It's also next door (across the cow pasture) to a yummy winery, BONUS!
There was plenty of room for the 8 of us in the living room, around the dining table and 2-3 people could work in the kitchen.
My husband and I were in town to see our family and wanted something different and relaxing. This home located in the wine country of southern oregon offered that and so much more. Situated at the end of a quiet Street this farmhouse stole our heart. Views of rolling hills, green fields and a few homes dotted the landscape. It was incredibly relaxing. Inside this beautiful home was the perfect country home with everything you need. Even fresh eggs in the fridge. Also, the sleep number bed was a real bonus. We’re already planning our next visit!
My husband and I rented Otto’s Place for a family reunion/birthday celebration. Ten of us stayed comfortably in this lovely home for 5 nights. The home is set up for families, with everything you need to cook big meals, play games and sleep well. Cold, rainy weather kept us inside by the fireplace but we still enjoyed our stay very much.
Everything about Otto's place was welcoming and comfortable. Obvious attention was paid to all the little details that made moving in for 4 days easy & convenient, from extra toothpaste to lovely holiday decorations. The owners were very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. The farming neighborhood allowed for talking to cows, goats, horses and peacocks amidst the beautiful scenery on our walks out the front door, and Jacksonville and Medford are very close by for access to food, trails and dog parks. Our family made some very happy memories staying at Otto's place. Thanks Jess & Matt!
