for animal lovers - cute, little Bunkhouse attached to the horse barn
you love horses and dogs? Then this is the right place. Tiny, cozy Bunkhouse, directly attached to the barn about 1 mile of the town center. You can bring your horse (stalls available) and of course your pets. 1,1/2 bedrooms (sleeps 3), fully equipped kitchen, little patio and a pool at the main house. Lost to do and lots to see and great dining options in Sonoita and surrounding area. Wine tasting at our many vineyards, natural World Wonder Karchner Caves, legendary Tombstone, unique Bisbee, birding, fishing, hiking - just to name some. Stargazing at our clear nights is simply awesome. For horse people, we have two full-size Dressage arenas, stalls with pens, turnout and lessons available.

Wonderful accommodations on a beautiful and quiet property! It was perfect for a two-night stay. The beds were very comfortable, which is hugely important to me! We loved the friendly pups that came to visit and watching the horses in the field. The location is perfect! Close to vineyards (which was our destination). I would definitely stay here again!
The little bunkhouse was a peaceful, lovely area to get away from the busyness of life. Scarlet's friendly doggies greeted us in the morning while enjoying the German coffee she provider. Clean comfortable beds provided restful sleep after hummingbird watching in Patagonia's Paton Bird sanctuary (less than 30 min away), wine tasting in Elgin and hiking the next day in Madera (75 min away).Scarlet's dinner recommendation at Velvet Elvis was spot on. Fun eclectic restaurant with of course, Elvis painted on velvet canvas and the 3 large colorful Magos statues as well a beautiful large carving of San Gabriel all inside.Keep the little bunkhouse in mind if you're seeking respite amoung rolling hills, settled within Santa Rita mountains.

This place is quiet and peaceful. Great home base for the area since it sits right near the junction to Patagonia, Parker Canyon Lake, and out to Tombstone or Bisbee for tourist stuff. We’d absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a cozy place to relax.
The Host, the amenities, the western atmosphere. Very comfortable accommodations. The horses and dogs are very friendly, if you are looking for a quiet pet friendly cozy place, check this out.

Thank you, Dan, for your wonderful review. We hope you will join us again when visiting Sonoita a nex time. It was a pleasure to host you and your girl friend.
Guy was very welcoming and we did not find out until later that Scarlett was having a medical procedure, And we missed her. The horses andDogs did their best to stand in for her though. Very cute and relaxing accommodation but could stand a little deep cleaning. More than likely reflects the absence of Scarlett ( no offense Guy). Will be staying again when in the area to continue my quest to finish the Arizona Trail.

Hope to be able to welcome you again.
Beautiful pastoral setting in the Sonoran desert. A cozy and well appointed bunkhouse perfect for a couple or solo traveler. Friendly loving horses and dogs greet you and check on you intermittently. Mature trees sway in the quiet breezes of the prairie. Lot’s of nature destinations in the area for birding and hiking. Lovely hosts available to give recommendations or answer questions.

Tanya, you are so sweet and your wonderful review is highly appreciated. It makes my day and my heart jump for joy. Thank you also for your generous little "extra". You left the Bunkhouse impeccable - and that makes my life so much easier right now ( I have a torn meniscus in my right knee....) We would love to welcome you again whenever might visit Sonoita again.
Host was amazing and very communicative. The property was darling and just as described. Very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

We are very sorry our little place did not meet your expectations. As a "premier host" with a 5* "excellent" rating we work hard to live up to this status - every day, every guest, but your 4* rating tells we sadly cannot please everybody.
Wonderful alternative to living in the Valley. Wonderful hosts, perfect situation for my dog Sophie, great little porch/patio for reading.

Dear Jim, it was such a pleasure to have you and sweet little Sophie with us again. We love seeing you both and can't wait for a next time. My surgery went well, even though I am in terrible pain now. Turned out I had a double hernia....I will be out of commission for quite some weeks.
Thank you for being such a wonderful guest,
Scarlett & Guy
Compact but has everything needed. Cute porch to enjoy out front. Delicious well water! Comfy beds. Friendly dogs, friendly owners, and convenient to wineries and lavender farms. Would be glad to return.
Very nice little place in the unique setting of a horse ranch. The hosts are super nice and very easy to talk with. Everything was very clean and all the furnishings, appliances, linens and towels were in perfect condition. Very peaceful and quiet at nighttime. I will definitely have to stay here again when I return to the area. All the dogs were very friendly and some were even waiting outside to greet me in the morning.

PS: this morning we had a young kind snake on our door step - pretty little fellow.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Check in process was super easy and the property was as described. The location, although rustic and off the beaten path, is in fact just minutes from 'downtown' sonoita and as such it was very convenient. I would definitely stay here in the future.
Very nice place to stay with great hosts. Visited with my daughter and she has already booked another visit for later this summer. I will stay again also.
Comfortable and welcoming place, was so wonderful to be greeted by the friendly horses! We felt right at home and enjoyed the dark skies full of stars at night. The dog also loved roaming around off leash on the beautiful grounds!
The property is on a beautiful ranch about a mile from Sonoita town center. Easy access, our dogs were welcomed and it’s a very quiet place. We loved it.
