This motel is the best stay in town with hands down best beach access which is literally across the street. We spent every night combing the beach for eye candy treasures of colorful starfish and giant green anemones. It was nice to hang out at the picnic tables late at night just to chill, listen to the ocean, watch the cars go by. The owners are friendly and offer frequently how they can help us enjoy our stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean with new and modern amenities such as a microwave, mini fridge, and 4 cup coffee pot. I appreciated the full length mirror, more coffee ability in the room, the fan, big table, and the always hot shower. It is colder in the off season so the new extra blanket made it cozy. They also have a restaurant that offers a broad menu, bar, ice cream, coffee bar. It is all you need in one spot

Great host, excellent place to relax and walk to the beach.
This was such a wonderful place to stay for a quick getaway to the beach, especially being right across the street to the beach access! Rooms were very clean and service was amazing. Thank you for making our weekend getaway amazing!

The property owners very friendly and kind during the visit. The room while neat some items did not get cleaned up until the third day. They replaced the microwave, and coffee pot.

It is in a great location across from the beach and Battle Rock. They have done a good job fixing up the old motel but no real amenities. Owners are very nice.

Our stay for 3 nights was great! The bed was so comfortable! So close to dining options. And the staff are friendly and caring! Can’t beat waking up every morning with the ocean right across the street. We will definitely be back!

While our room shows evidence of refurbishing, it is cramped. The bathroom is tiny. The so-called kitchen has no utensils, towels, drain rack. The window near the entrance has a useless blind that lets light brighten the room at night.
Free breakfast? There is no free breakfast. Heck, there is no accessible lobby. Onsite staff? Where are they?
This property was grossly misrepresented in Expedia. NEVER AGAIN!

The place was very dirty, they advertised breakfast but the 2 days we were there the kitchen was closed, when we got there to check in the lobby was locked & it was freezing outside, & raining. There was A note in door that said to call this number. So I did & about 15 mins later someone finally showed up & let us in.
The best thing about this place was the location. We would not call it "ocean view"as the view was out onto a side street. If you looked side-wise, you could see Battle Rock, though. Outside, though, it was just catacorner from the Battle Rock Park.We have to acknowledge that we were there in their off season and they were working on fixing the place up. After booking a we found it was VRBO with a cleaning fee and a resort fee. This is a 1950 old motel with NO amenities. The Bistro on site, which had an open sign was not open. The only amenity we saw was a charging station. As for the room,we must say the bed was very comfortable and the towels were nice and fluffy. Hot water took about 2 min to become warm. There are a few things the room could benefit from. A bed skirt that fit the bed so that you did not trip on it. 2 knives and 2 forks instead of 1 each. Plates that were microwave safe. (They were super hot after 45 seconds) Kleenex and an extra roll of toilet paper. A rectangular table to give more room instead of a large round one at the foot of the bed that left little space to get by and to put things on. A luggage rack. Most importantly, a curtain over the window that has the porch light on the other side of it. The window that looked out onto the darkened street had a very thick curtain, but the the other window just had a thin blind that just as well have been left off! .With improvements we might recommend this place.
