The place was clean and suited for what we needed. The price was right. The place had a lot of beds for a smaller place which worked out great. The home could use a little updating, but I’m not complaining. Great location near everything we needed.
Everything as advertised. Worked out well. Thank you.

Great place, great location!
Love that it was within minutes of Mad River Glen, Mt. Ellen and Sugarbush South (or whatever it's called these days). Great place for a good-sized group but I wouldn't push it beyond 6, given the size of the general living spaces. I'd definitely recommend this property!
Amenities in unit were old and unattractive. Unit was hot and needs bedroom fans. Overpriced.

Lots of space for people to sleep.
Older but plenty of space. Downstairs bathroom is a bit small but has all the necessary items needed. Upstairs bathroom is larger and has the best water pressure of any place I’ve stayed! Location is close to Waitsfield which has some nice restaurants .

No Frills Mad River Valley Stay
Our group had a lovely long weekend at this rental. The condo is in a great location in the mad river valley just down the street from great ski mountains.
The rental is a bit dated but has all that’s needed for a no frills Vermont stay! We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace (wood provided), the loft was great for additional sleeping space, and the house had plenty of puzzles and games for our use.
Overall one of the best value rentals in the area.
While it was a bit dated, it was clean. Since we knew about the water issue we just brought water for drinking/ coffee etc. We did find 6 ladybugs, not the infestation mentioned in a previous review. Towels and bed linens were clean. Checkin and check out was easy. We had a couple of questions which we sent by text. Response was quick.
The location and setup of the property is perfect for skiing both Mad River and Sugarbush resorts, also great for snowshoeing, crossing country and back country skiing on the Catamount Trail. Our group of 4 adults and one teen was accommodated very comfortably. The property is dated and could use a little TLC, however clean and comfortable is more of a concern. That said, there is a definite issue with lady bug infestation and the sliding doors are broken and there was leaking due to snowmelt. The property could use a deep cleaning (i.e. windows, etc.)

The condo was accurately described in the listing. Unfortunately the living room and kitchen were infested with lady bugs making our stay very uncomfortable. When I reached out to Vacassa, who was the rental agent, they claimed that they were unaware of the problem. I find that hard to believe since the condo was to be cleaned before we arrived. Thankfully we never found ladybugs in the bedrooms. I am not very happy with this experience.

Gary, thank you for your review, we sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced during your time with us. We have provided your valuable feedback to our local manager. We did offer to send our team out to address the issues of ladybugs; however, per your request, we did not send anyone. While we do know that it doesn't remedy your negative experience, we hope that the compensation provided alleviates some of the stress. We will use your feedback and experience to help make a more positive environment in this home moving forward, and hope that you will allow us a second chance to host you for an incredible vacation experience in the future. Thank you!
This place is barely okay. Needs a ton of work. If you have mobility issues, you won't be able to enter the home. The stairs are crooked. You can tell they have been crooked for years. The deck furniture was smashed to bits. All of the remotes needed batteries. They need to vacuum and clean the carpets. The entire place smelled like there was a fire inside. Would not stay again. Would not recommend to anyone. Save your hard earned money. You're better off staying home.
SEPT 2023 - High Radium levels, can not drink the water
**Problem affects the entire complex**
Upon our late check in (after 10pm), we discovered the Public Health Notification for the condominiums. They have exceeded the acceptable level of combined radium, and you should not consume the water (boiling the water only intesifies the radium levels). Work is scheduled to begin in Oct 2023 and expected to be complete by Spring 2023.
**This information is NOT being shared in the listings.** They simply state that you should not drink the water, but that you can bathe and wash food with it. Unpotable water is different than radium contaminated water! (No potable water was provided by the property.) We were not given the chance to review this information until AFTER we arrived at the rental. We did not wish to expose ourselves or the children to this hazardous situation (one guest is diabetic and one juvenile has a heart condition).
The home is also VERY dated. Curtains and bed linens are quite old. One set of bed linens was stained. The tops of the built-in book shelves were quite dirty and had visible mouse droppings (seen from looking out of the upstairs loft, not hidden from view).

Great condo, lovely setting
The condo has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There’s a great pool, tennis courts and a little playground. Nice location convenient to hikes, route 100, Waitsfield village, and Sugarbush access road.
