Both hosts were extremely responsive and extremely welcoming. The space, sleeping arrangements, large dining table for meals and games was all perfect.
Extremely welcoming home! Such a nice space to all hangout and play games. Had a great experience working with host who was very accommodating. Would consider booking again and would recommend to a friend!
Our family rented this home for my daughter’s nearby wedding on Labor Day Weekend. We had 11 guests staying at the residence. All 11 of us thoroughly enjoyed the property, and everyone commented on how comfortable, well furnished, and exceptionally welcoming it was.The house was turnkey and had everything we could have wanted for an incredibly enjoyable stay. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which made preparing meals easy, as well as the televisions and sound system. The porch, fire pit, and generous outdoor areas were wonderful places to relax and spend time together and provided ample space for my grandsons to throw their football around the yard.We also hosted a catered afternoon gathering during the weekend, and the ample parking and layout of the property made it very convenient for our guests. Beyond the house itself, we greatly enjoyed exploring the nearby Vermont towns and taking in such a beautiful setting. Fortunately, the temperature was perfect for the week’s festivities.
We needed a home that could accommodate 4 generations for a nearby wedding. Our oldest family member is in a wheelchair and the youngest is a baby. The hosts were very communicative, responsive and helpful about how best to access the house with a portable ramp and also gave us some great babysitting references. The porch/deck is a lovely place to gather as is the large living room. The primary suite is large, clean and well laid out. The lower level Au Pair suite was a great solution for our daughter and her young family. All family members slept well and said their beds were comfortable. The house was clean and well appointed. If we find ourselves in Mad River again we would certainly stay there again.
A group of us gathered and stayed at this wonderful property for our 20th reunion. The home and hosts were excellent! Great location.
Literally a perfect stay.

We're so glad you and your group had such a terrific weekend! Thank you for your kind review and we hope to see you again "soon"! :)
My family and I stayed here and I honestly cannot rave about it enough! The hosts were extremely generous and kind!! Upon arrival we found a basket filled with delicious snacks and a beautiful note from the hosts. The beds were very comfortable and the primary bathtub a highlight! I would recommend any of my friends/ family to stay here! 10 out of 10 FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!
Our group of two families (with teens) had a great stay. Property has plenty of room to spread out, easy access to Sugarbush, and all the amenities you need for a ski vacation in Vermont. Hosts were easy to communicate with and all the administrative details were professionally handled and documented. Our group will definitely be planning a repeat visit.
We had an amazing stay. The house is beautiful. The Kitchen was fully equipped with all you need. The beds were cozy. The best part we made wonderful memories.
This home provided a wonderful winter getaway to celebrate a 70th birthday party. The hosts are wonderful making sure we felt at home. The house fit the description and was well equipped with everything we needed and just a short drive from Sugarbush and many wonderful restaurants and shops. Would absolutely stay again and recommend to others!

Andrea, Thank you for staying with us and glad you enjoyed our home. It was a pleasure, and we hope we have the opportunity host you and your family again. Thanks again!
This was a perfect house for our vacation! We had 6 teenagers with us, and there was plenty of space. The home is beautiful and clean. The beds were comfy. The hosts were fantastic...great communicators before we arrived and even sent us back a pair of earrings that my daughter left. Super convenient drive to Sugarbush for skiing! Best part was the open living, with a large family room, dining room and kitchen. We had the teens around us all the time because they watched movies, ate and lingered in the kitchen.

Thank you, Amanda & family! It was our pleasure hosting you all and we hope to have you back soon! :)
Just got home from our stay and we are already thinking about when we can go back! The house had plenty of room for a comfortable multigenerational getaway. After a long day of skiing, the well equipped kitchen and large dining table made it easy for us to plan family dinners. There were plenty of board games, books, puzzles and sleds to keep the kids entertained. Even our dog was happy with the toys provided by the hosts and the outdoor lead. The location was perfect! We could get to Lincoln Peak or out to dinner within ten minutes. Our biggest regret was not staying longer!

Thank you! Looking forward to hosting you again! :)
We came to Waitsfield for two days so that we could be in the path of totality for the 2024 North American eclipse. It was such an added treat to discover this wonderful home! There was plenty of room for our family to enjoy, a gorgeous deck overlooking a pond and stream, and a fantastic kitchen/dining/living area where we ate and played games for hours. We cooked breakfast each morning and appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, and at night we went outside to stargaze at a beautiful sky full of stars with no light pollution. The host, Theresa, was so thoughtful and communicative throughout. My kids LOVED this house (and especially the bookcase bedroom on the main floor!) and insist we plan a return visit. Hopefully we can come back again soon!

Thank you again! We loved your drawing & looking forward to having you again soon!
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful Vermont home for our Thanksgiving family gathering, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the well-equipped kitchen to the spacious living areas, every detail made our stay truly memorable.
The kitchen is an absolute dream for anyone who loves to cook. It's not just well-stocked with all the appliances we needed, but it's also beautifully designed.
The hosts were amazingly helpful from the moment we booked. They provided clear and timely communication, and their attention to detail was evident throughout the property. Love the code for entry- made everything easy for all my family! From local recommendations to ensuring we had everything we needed, they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and stress-free. They also have all the equipment for visitors with pets or infants available in the house. The large, open spaces in the living and dining areas were perfect for our family gathering. There is even a home gym! The location of the home is ideal, situated near two ski resorts. This made it convenient for family members interested in hitting the slopes, and the rest of us enjoyed exploring the scenic surroundings - even hiked a portion of the Appalachian trail! Highly recommend!

Wow! Wow! Thank you so much for your thoughtful and amazing feedback! Our guest's comfort is our top priority- we're so glad to know we hit the mark for you and your family. Thank you for staying with us- we hope to host you again soon! :)
We stayed at Teresa & Matt's Mad River House for an amazing 3 nights in the fall for a wedding at Bliss Ridge Farm. As an extended family, we stay at a lot of rentals and this house truly had it all. I can't think of anything it didn't have accessible, including an ironing board/iron, an extra toothbrush, a high chair, etc. etc. Every crisis we had was averted when we found what we needed right there. We were a group of 11 from 2 to 94 and everyone loved the house and the area! Nearby Mad River Glen had some great walking trails and Waitsfield had a grocery store, some great restaurants and breweries, and a Saturday market. Matt and Theresa was so easy to work and helpful. Thank you for introducing us to a beautiful area of Vermont!
