Another relaxing year at Rose creek. Feeding the deer never gets old. Love the changes that were made, the new stove is really nice. I’m ready to book another stay for next year!
Rose creek is close in to town but far enough out to enjoy wildlife, deer, turkeys and several types of birds. It’s a great place to go if you want to get away from it all. Can’t wait to return.
Great place to stay and unplug! Peace an quiet and plenty of outside spaces to enjoy!
If you like wildlife you’ll love staying here watching deer and hummingbirds!
Beautiful home with everything you need. There is plenty of space for everyone both inside and outside. We didn't cook, but the kitchen seemed well stocked including both a single cup and "normal" coffee pot (for us old folks!) The fall leaves were beautiful. Even though it rained for much of our stay, we enjoyed touring the towns including a visit to Down the Rabbit Hole where we bought an ornament from an artist who was there painting (thank you for the gift certificate!) We loved watching the deer from the front porch and from the couch both at night and at dawn. We enjoyed a wood fire in the fireplace in a comfortable family room. The hosts are wonderful and have thought of everything for your stay. We felt like we were visiiting friends that we've never met!
This was one of the best vrbo houses I have rented. The house was very clean and the furniture and beds very comfortable, which is not always the case with vrbo homes. We also enjoyed watching the deer. Hope to return soon.
Peaceful, quite, secluded. We enjoyed the deer, all sorts of birds, a racoon and lots of hummingbirds. Cabin was comfortable and lacked nothing. Perfect for two seniors who enjoy watching nature. Lots to do for families who like to explore the area.
This cabin nestled in the woods is a perfect place to escape the daily pressures of life. Whether it be for honeymoon, anniversary or a place to spend time together with family. We were able to sit on the porch and watch the wildlife around us, so very peaceful. The deer com to within 50 feet of you to eat and watch you:) So if you need a place to go and let loose of the everyday stress this is your place. We had a fantastic time and cannot wait to return. (Although we would recommend a 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway, front wheel drive can be done with care.) Thank you for sharing your cabin in the woods with us.. Tom and Cindy Titusville FL
We've stayed in the Franklin, Cashiers, and Highlands area six times since the summer of 2020. Although every property was nice, this was our favorite. The cabin, including the multiple outdoor areas for relaxing, is top-rate in terms of quality and comfort. The property is located halfway up a small mountain and gives one the feeling that you have southern Appalachia to yourselves. It feels like you are miles from anywhere yet you are only 15 minutes from downtown Franklin. This did not feel like a rental - it felt like home! Our dog, the ultimate discerning traveler, leaped out of the car after we had loaded up as we had left the door open to do one more "check" and proceeded to go back into the house, lay on the floor, and had to be coaxed back into the vehicle - lol.
It's a great place to scape from the busy life and connect with nature but be aware that even that a 4x4 is not required it is recommended for the road reach the cabin. The deers visit us every single day and making s'mores by the was a plus.
Staying here was like coming home! The hosts have everything you need, its clean, and its absolutely gorgeous loved that yhey had everything we could need in the kitchen, we prefer to cook at the house and eat clean but also found some excellent restaurants nearby. We went mining and found rubies and sapphires! Highly recommend this place! It was so cozy and comfortable with an amazing location! Thank you for allowing us to stay! We hope to be back soon with the kids.
Perfect location to enjoy nature. Cabin had everything you need. It was absolutely immaculate. Town was about 8 miles with a huge Ingles grocery store. The nicest we have ever experienced in our travels to the lower 48. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning.
This property never disappoints. It’s a beautiful place to relax and unwind. You can spend hours watching deer feed or hummingbirds flying around all while listening to the birds in the trees. We are already looking forward to returning in October.
WE ALL LOVED THE FOX,S BEAUTIFUL CLEAN HOME THAT HAD EVERY THING,BIG KITCHEN,FIRE PLACE,FIRE PITS,ETC AND LOVED SEEING THE DEER EVERY DAY,WALKING THE DIRT TRAILS,FEEDING THE BIRDS,WILL STAY AGAIN,THANK YOU.
Beautiful, secluded wilderness retreat with wildlife right at your back door. We fed the deer and hummingbirds, had a campfire and enjoyed the swing and rocking chairs. Highly recommended if you are looking to escape the fast pace and find peace and serenity.
Our family enjoyed our stay, deer in the driveway every morning and evening. Great hiking on the many trails surrounding the property, and the dogs loved every bit of it. 10 out of 10
We loved the cabin and location. The deer were right outside the cabin every morning and evening. The mama deer was around off and on all day and was very friendly, standing and watching us. She would just move back slightly when putting the corn in the dish. Will definitely be back, just wish we could have stayed longer.
The only thing I would suggest is adding to your directions, that the road at the fork is marked as a private drive.
What a fantastic getaway spot. Close to town yet far enough away to enjoy wildlife. We always enjoy feeding the deer and this year one brought her fawn for us to see. Can’t wait to return in the fall.
If your looking for a secluded, beautiful and peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature this place has it all. Mr and Mrs. Fox makes sure that the cabin feels like home with a the little extra details they have put in from the extra throw blankets in the living room to the basket of goodies in the bathroom full items that you may have forgotten. If I could have i would have stayed there for a month and still wont want to leave. If i get chance again i would book this place again.
This property is a great getaway, the fall colors were beautiful! You are close to town but far enough out to enjoy the wildlife in the area. We can’t wait to return.
We were one of the first few renters to rent the cabin. It’s in a great location that’s easily accessible to nearby attractions. We were able to hike, white water raft and we even took a day trip to Dollywood. The cabin has everything you could possibly need. Tom has really put a lot of thought into making the cabin a home away from home. The cabin was immaculate in terms of cleanliness. It has updated appliances and the kitchen is one of the best stocked we have ever rented. There is a small creek behind for the kids to dig for gems. We really enjoyed the solitude of the area. Especially, sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds and the deer that were waiting for us to feed them every evening. Tom was easy to communicate with and responded immediately when we contacted him. I would highly recommend this cabin.
