This was an awesome getaway place - tucked away and quiet. The road it is on can be a bit intimidating - definitely recommend an SUV or something of that sort. Recommend it for couples for sure!
Beautiful sunset view over the mountains
Lovely interior decor and styling
Extremely comfortable layout
We enjoyed fires indoors and outside
Hot tub was a luxurious way to end each day
Every detail was considered
Kitchen was well equipped
The driveway to the cabin was steep but our non-4WD minivan could handle it. We were very comfortable here!
The property was easy to find and check in was fine. It had all the amenities needed for a great stay. Views were amazing. Hot tub was a plus! The house does have a lot of stairs so would not recommend if you cannot maneuver or have a handicap individual with you.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary. The home is beautiful both inside and out. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub.The home is close enough to everything that you don’t feel like you are traveling halfway across the world to get anywhere, but that being the case, you can hear quite a bit of road noise while outside on the porch.Otherwise, we really enjoyed our time and may even try to come back with the kiddos as it has the space for it!
The Maggie is a beautiful and cozy home we enjoyed returning to after a long day of exploring all the amazing North Carolina sights. It is beautifully decorated and inviting! We had a few slow mornings and our kids enjoyed the games, puzzle and coloring books available. We all thoroughly appreciated the hot tub and rocking on the front porch with our morning coffee/hot chocolate. It's conveniently located near a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. We had a great week at The Maggie and would recommend to anyone staying in Maggie Valley.
This place is a hidden gem with great views. Its may be smaller than some other options out there but the place is absolutely gorgeous. The host's thought of everything that can be found throughout the stay. And dont be discouraged by the road and driveway leading to the property...my hyundai sedan made it just fine! Lol
We had a great time at The Maggie! The house was so peaceful! We loved sitting on the deck and watching the sunset over the mountains. The house was very well stocked with anything you would need.
The only issue we had was that one of our cars could not get up to the property. The gravel driveway was so steep.
We did a weekend trip to Maggie and stayed in this very nice house. It has a pretty good view of the mountains and we loved the big hot tub.The house was very clean, key pad door lock worked well and we had no issues during our stay. We did have a question about adjusting the temperature on the hot tub and we got a response right away. It has some kind of lock on it and we couldn’t adjust the settings. I would definitely recommend this house and Maggie Valley to anyone looking at a nice place to stay in the mountains.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin is cozy but was the right size for our family of four and we really enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace. It was a better view than we expected and we really liked the location with easy access to Waynesville, the park, and day trips to Asheville.
As others have mentioned, it is pretty steep to get up to the cabin. Our FWD SUV made it fine, but a sedan or anything with lower ground clearance might scrape/struggle. Maggie Valley and the area was busy (plan on some waits at restaurants) but that was expected for peak leaf season.
Certainly recommended for couples or small families!
This cabin was perfect for our first family ski trip to Maggie Valley. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything you could need, down to extra towels for the hot tub and even a set of kids dishes/cups. Our kids (3 & 5) loved the bunk room and the many games stocked in the living room. All the TVs and kitchen appliances were easy to use. The views of the mountain from the deck/hot tub were amazing, especially at night. Location is great too - only 5min away from town and 15 min away from skiing. Only minor critiques would be that it is a bit tricky to get up to without all-wheel drive (don't turn on Gypsy Lane!) and the hot tub felt overly chlorined (but I understand why - extra clean is better than not!). Overall definitely a 5-star stay and will likely come back next trip to Maggie Valley.
I wish I could give this a 5 star. The house is pretty much perfect. Clean great location. The problem came with Jaime the owner. We had it from Weds to Monday. Sunday morning the central bath toilet backed up. I plunged it a long time and nothing worked. I called Jaime and left a voice message. Jaime ghosted me the whole day while we were out. Came back around 5 in the afternoon with still a poop filled toilet backed up. This time I texted Jaime a not so pleasant message. She texted back with an excuse about not getting my voice message. And gosh darnit can't find a plumber. So the last 24 hours of our stay we had a backed up toilet. Not real happy
We enjoyed the thoughtful design and decor, staged comfortably for guests. The beds were comfy & everything was clean. There are steep steps from the driveway to the front door, so good for older ppl or those with knee or any injuries to be aware of this. The driveway up was a bit steep coming from The Piedmont but an SUV was just fine. Our car probably could’ve done it the same. It’s remote but there are neighbors too, which is a nice balance. The rug in the room with bunks probably needs a gripper underneath but we were careful near it.
It’s a really cozy place with special touches and fit for enjoying some chill mountain time.
We enjoyed our stay had a lot of rain but the house was comfortable meet all our needs wonderful food near by when we had back that way I will be booking again here.
