About this property

Making Waves

This completely remolded home was built in the early 1950’s. My husband remolded the home in 2012.
It is very homey and has been decorated with beach decor from one end to the other.
The kitchen has everything you would need from electric skillet to a crockpot.
It has foils,baggies, salt, pepper, oil, coffee and filters.
So much charm and very inviting.
We are centrally located in Jacksonville. Close to all military bases and the beaches.
The space
We are approximately 35 minutes to several beaches.
The home has a very relaxing atmosphere.
Outside sitting with a fire pit.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We traveled from WV to see family in the area and enjoyed our stay very much! Communication was wonderful. My kids enjoyed the snacks & board games! Appreciated the extra towels & blankets. She even had the smallest things like tape, seasonings, & a first aid kit on hand. The home was very neat and clean! Definitely would stay again. Thank you!

Wonderful location (close to base), clean, with tons of amenities... ideal for a visit with military family/friends. Rhonda was a great host and very accommodating/understanding on late check-in/out due to schedules. Would happily stay at "Making Waves" again!

Nice and relaxing

The vibe of making waves was perfect for a nice relaxing evening after a busy day with family. The house was very clean and my kids enjoyed the snacks and water that was there. The perfect place for a small get away.

Cute place!

This house was amazing! It is central to so much around Jacksonville and surrounding areas. The house is well maintained and has everything you need for your stay. If we are down in that area again I would definitely go with this house again. The hostess Rhonda is an amazing lady and goes above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. I wish we had more than 2 days here!

Rhonda is an amazing host with great communication. The house is clean , equipped with everything you need for cooking and cleaning. Wifi was easy to add to our devices. Neighborhood was very quiet and safe. Highly recommend!

Beautifully decorated and very comfortable stay.

I had the best time with my grandsons. The house was beautifully decorated with an ocean theme in every room. The environment was very relaxing. The boys enjoyed playing in the backyard. My family from in Jacksonville came over and kept commenting how nice the house was. Rhonda thought of everything and was so friendly and helpful.

“Making Waves” is truly a home away from home; even if for two days. Thank you for allowing us to be a guest as we came to pack up our Marine after serving his four years at Camp Lejune. A very enjoyable experience and so much better than a stuffy hotel. Your home was superb, adorable, cozy, clean, comfortable, inviting and so much more. “Making Waves” is close to shopping, dining, beach and the military bace. Your hospitality & kindness is very much appreciated and a blessing. I wish we had discovered you and “Making Wave” sooner in our sone enlistments so we could have stayed more often as we visited.

We chose this neighborhood because we had a friend who lived in this area. We bought the Airbnb house and remodeled it. We have been here 49 years.
