Experience the sweet and quiet charm of mountain life in a historic gold mining town nicknamed the “City of Mines.” Surrounded by old abandoned mines, Victor has lots of history. Located on 2 acres of the gorgeous hillside at the edge of the town, enjoy unobstructed views of the Sangre de Cristos in the distance. Offering a fully stocked kitchen, massive deck with grill, 2 bedrooms (1 queen and 1 king), 2 additional air mattresses, 2 bathrooms, shuffleboard and foosball tables, darts, and finished basement. Gold Valley is a true getaway!

Nested high up in the mountains at over 9,700 feet, our cozy spot is surrounded by nature's buddies like chipmunks, foxes, and free-range cattle. Just a heads up, sometimes mice might pop into the cabin to keep cool or warm up. They're just looking for a little comfort, just like the rest of us!

The Victor Farmhouse was clean, nicely-appointed and very comfortable. The home offered everything from solitude to games and fun, and views were inspiring. We would certainly stay again.

The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. We made breakfast, dinner and dessert. We enjoyed games and the open space downstairs. We played a board & card games upstairs on the table. We loved the place..we booked for a whole week..but unfortunately I had to go to a lower elevation after the first night because of breathing difficulties. But our friends stayed and loved every bit of it..the views are stunning! The wildlife is very relaxing to watch.

We came for the cool air and Mountain View’s. This house did not disappoint with incredible views from every window, and summer temps in 50F-65F range. Quiet, peaceful town with many activities an hour away in every direction.

Wonderful views in a quiet location

We enjoyed our stay in Victor. The home was perfect for enjoying views of the mountains- we even saw two bear off in the distance. The downstairs “man cave” was a favorite for our boys, ages 11 and 16. The house had everything we needed, including a few special extras! Thank you so much!

The Pikes visited Pikes Peak!

What a beautiful little home! We really enjoyed this quiet little town and area. We took our two oldest boys on a little post school year trip and we had a wonderful time! The host was amazing and the house was perfect for us! Our last name is Pike so we really enjoyed going up Pikes Peak even though we couldn’t make it all the way to the top. We will definitely be making another trip again!

Came to explore Victor and hike to Rita the Rock Planter. This house was roomy, charming, and very well appointed. Had a blast playing shuffle board as well as taking in nature from the huge deck that faces the forest. Adam was a good host that checked on us shortly after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed.

Ice Fishing Stay

Stayed here with a few friends while we went Ice fishing nearby. The home is clean and comfortable. the hosts were efficient and friendly and the process was very straight forward with the rules easy to meet. No shoes allowed inside, so bring slippers or wool socks! Shuffleboard table is a blast, but it does need some leveling....

Great Getaway

This was a much needed family vacation! We were about an hour away from everything we wanted to visit. It was nice to come “home” in the evenings to a quiet small town with amazing views. The Miners Cave was a relaxing space that we could all hang out in and play games or watch a movie. When we did need to contact the host, they responded with in minutes. The kids are already planning when we can come back!

There were a few issues, the owners were quick to resolve them. They refunded a day due to the dryer not working. I only suggest on leaving instructions on how to work the dishwasher...never did figure that out. The house was a nice little cozy place, located in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our trip to Colorado.

Very relaxing getaway

My wife and I drove from Denver for a quick escape. The property was fantastic. Easily the most well stocked kitchen with quality items of any vacation rental we’ve ever been too. The tech in the house was very easy to use and the decor was very inviting and relaxing. The best part of this property was the back deck. It has an amazing view and my wife and I felt so grateful to simply watch the Sun go down. Great spot. Would definitely recommend

Our names are Dana and Adam and we have two little ones named Poppy and Felix. We purchased the home back in November 2021 and have since renovated much of it. We have always wanted to host an Airbnb and while looking all around Colorado, fell in love with Victor and Cripple Creek. We especially cherish the peacefulness, routine visits from wildlife, and bright stars at night. We hope you enjoy it here as much as we do and please leave us a review after your stay.

Why they chose this property

Perched on the side of Battle Mountain at nearly 10,000 feet elevation is Victor, Colorado, a village steeped in history. Filled with vintage buildings and gold mining structures, this semi-ghost town is one of the most preserved mining camps in Colorado.

Today, Victor remains much the same with its 1890s architectural buildings and headframes dotting the landscape. Beneath Victor’s streets, more than two miles of Gold Coin tunnels remain. There’s a German bakery, some of the best coffee in Colorado, antique shops, and a couple of restaurants. There’s also an ice rink in the winter, and a schedule of events in the Summer, including the famous burro race. and is a mere 5 miles from Cripple Creek. There's beautiful hiking, wildlife, and climbing nearby.

Keep in mind that Victor is rustic–a working man’s town. This ain’t Vail or Estes Park!
