Our cozy, 2-bedroom, 1 bath chalet-style cabin accommodates 6 adults with a Queen bed in both of the upstairs bedrooms and a Queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress downstairs. The bright, sunny rooms both upstairs and down are welcoming, provide great views, allow nice passive solar heating and cool mountain breezes. The bedrooms share a closet at the top of the stairs and have either a dresser or chest of drawers for your belongings. One bedroom has a Smart TV and private balcony. Linens for bed and bath are provided. You will find the sleeper sofa linens in the upstairs closet, as well as two portable electric heaters. Extra blankets for the beds are kept in the upstairs window seat storage. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, glasses, pots and pans, utensils, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, blender, linens, microwave, a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, and electric range with glass cook-top. Our bathroom is downstairs and has a tiled tub/shower combination. The wood stove serves as a very efficient alternative to the radiant baseboard heating and the fireplace offers a romantic element.
If you are considering traveling with a dog, we require prior approval before accepting a booking request. Part of our Rental Agreement is a Pet Addendum, which includes our "cabin rules" for visiting dogs. Our pet form asks for your dog's name, breed, color, weight, age, sex, and if it has been spayed or neutered. When you submit a booking request, please include this information. We will send you the form as a reply so you can easily access it.
We have free WiFi for your convenience and recommend connecting your cell phone to it for a stronger signal. For safety and security, we have exterior cameras on our property. Our cabin sits at the bottom of our crushed granite driveway (also used for neighborhood streets) and below street-level, so we strongly recommend an all-wheel/4-wheel drive vehicle during our rainy/snowy winter into spring months. It's dark in the mountains so we have a variety of solar lighting to help you find our driveway and move comfortably from car to cabin. There is a large, flat area at the bottom of the driveway with motion-sensor lighting for parking. The crushed granite path to our front door has solar path lights and more motion-sensor lighting. There is one small step up to our front deck where you will enter. Our large back deck has several steps for access.
We would love to share our cabin and special corner of Colorado with you. We always welcome any information you want to share about yourself and your trip in your booking request. Please let us know if you have any questions.
